1* Tigers/Yankees under 10
1* Tigers +1 +164

Havnt made my play on this yet, but I'm waiting for this line to climb as everyone and their mother is on the over in this game and the line is climbing by the minute. By game time, we may even be able to get this number with + money the way it is going. And if it is at or near + money or even, I will make this a 2 unit play.

This is a play on two pitcher's that are the best on their teams, IMO. Mussina is the savvy vet, who has pitched well against Detroit, despite being a tough luck loser in some games. He went CG vs. them earlier this year and I think his big breaking ball will give this lineup problems.

On the other side, you saw a 2nd half decline from the promising potential AL Rookie of the Year Justin Verlander. This is because these young arms arent used to pitching a 162 game schedule. Verlander not only skipped his last start but got a few extra days with the layoff between the end of the regular season and start of the post-season.

I think Verlander, a fastball pitcher that can run it up to 99MPH, will benefit from this layoff and I think his arm will be fresh for this one, especially with adrenaline running.

Under is 5-0 in Verlander's last 5 starts with 9 or more days of rest.

I also like when young pitcher's walk into Yankees stadium in the playoffs and face a lineup like this....it's like they dont understand the magnitude of what they are doing. I also like when young pitchers face veteran lineups. Verlander reminds me of Josh Beckett in this one with the Marlins. Young power pitcher, facing a veteran lineup. Yankees have only seen this guy once, way back earlier in the year - and these old vets will have to catch up to a hard live fastball from a young up and comer.

Umpire for this game also has a ridiculous under percentage, somthing like 65% unders, something like 22-12 in favor of the under.

Yankees got a lot of offense last night, they needed a 5-5 night from Jeter, a timely 2 out hit from Abreau, a bomb from Giambi, etc to plate 8 runs. Detroit got a couple of bombs, etc. They combined for 12 runs. I think the Yankees go as Jeter goes, and there is no way in hell Jeter puts together another performance like he did last night. Law of percentages.

Finally, with a day off tomorrow to rest bullpens, you will see Leyland and Torre empty their pens at any sign of trouble.

Tigers+1, they showed me some fight yesterday battling back after getting down. I think this game stays under and if it does, Detroit has the edge here. I'm buying a run in case Jeter happens late in this game, and still getting a good price here.

Good luck

No, I am staying off the Tigers tonight. Please disregard the Tigers +1. I am not making that play.

The under is the play, like I said, waiting until game time for it.

umm....yeah...how DO you win on a No Action? The Tigers didn't have a single game in the 06 season that they played the Yanks, kept it within 1 run and ran the under. What game were you watching?

Back to the serious stuff. As I said in post #2, I laid off the Tigers +1, which I am kicking myself for - but shite happens.

But, still got the under pretty easily.

2-0, +4.15 units

One play I like tonight, I will be starting a new thread for that play so that others can see, if interested, and avoid the rest of the BS in this thread.

Good luck everyone.
