So, who does the postponed game give a advantage to?......
I would think the Yankees who have "homefield" sleeping in there own beds, etc...would be least affected. Any opinions?.....

I think it is a great question....

I've been thinking about this question and it has been ruminating in my mind.... I posted this in another thread tonight but it always and ever will be first an answer to your question and it is one of the BIG questions we face as wagerers:

Weird shit does not hurt the dog team EVER. NEVER. OK...almost never. Weird shit from bad calls to shitty weird weather to whatever you can dream...NEVER hurts the dog team. They are the dog team. Weird hops bounces weather refs umps and all that can only hurt the favorite team. They were to win anyway, right? The DOG makes it on weirdness and if weirdness hurts their cause, they were going to lose anyway:

Accounting?

Weird shit happens to dog team negative: zero meaning
Weird shit happens to dog team positive: give it unitary meaning of +1
Weird shit happens to Favorite team positive: zero meaning
Weird shit happens to Fav team negative: give it unitary meaning of -1

Who gets the benefit of weird shit happening in the above? Well, say each of the above four events happen in a game...comon and just say: underdog is +2 on our meter!!! DO YOU SEE? Yes....I know you do.

Now, weird shit is random, isn't it? Yes, generally so. The weird shit we are just floored by is generally random. YET over the course of your and my wagering life this random shit means that the dog is helped much more than the favorite by random shit. You KNOW it is true and I didn't prove anything but I just gave such a great demonstration. I am going to copy this and save it for future use and review.

So random shit hurts the favorite and helps the dog, nearly invariably.

Random shit? No, that is, I believe, a true analysis of 'random' events and sports.

Did no one have a thought regarding my post here? LOL!

No thoughts.... ok. What a crew.

You got me thinking now Tulsa!!.......With all things going as planned the advantage would definately go to the favorite (Yankees)..... now throw in any type of controversy / postonement and this can only "help" the dog (Tigers)...
uhhhhmmmmm........starting to make a little sence.
Definately gonna have to rethink this one.....Thanks Tulsa!:103631605

Tulsa...I see your point, but too much weird shit happened to the dog team. A change in hotel rooms, a rookie pitcher who had to sleep on facing Murderer's Row and Cano for another night and the fact that Verlander, thinking the game was going to get started, went out and threw while the tarps were coming off and then the game was called. Leyland was mad because his starter threw and Mussina never emerged from the clubhouse.
In my mind, unless Verlander is scratched, the Tigers are a larger dog than they were last night... bigger advantage NY

An extra day off and some rain in the previous day are not enough to cool off yankee bats.Verlander might pitch well, but a rookie fast ball pitcher(who has lost 4-5 mph) at Yankee stadium in postseason is a setup for disaster.Fastball pitchers don't matchup well against murderer's row.

Guys, I'm not talking about random shit off the field. But just based on what should happen in that game the postponement only helps the Tigers....UNTIL the crap starts happening to them at the hotel etc...

AND unfortunately, this view of how it random ball bounces, rain delays and bad calls etc doesn't really help us cap the game.

The Yankees should still win this and given what the Tigers are going through....it might help the Yankees.

This view that I propose above is just a way to understand the game in progress...not necessarily a call to back the Tigers in this instance....

Good luck.
