Wow a rookie holding the big bad Yankees lineup to only 3 runs in Yankee Stadium!

That was a must win for the Tigers and they got it done somehow.

Now heading back to Detroit for 2 games they could win both and move on.

Randy Johnson has a bad back and hasn't pitched well and Jarret Wright lacks control and is the type of pitcher the Tigers could knock around.

Anyone feeling the Tigers on adjusted series price now?

This is the Yankees M.o. the last 6 years. They have all the talent but the starting pitching is in question. The tigers have a real chance. Randy isn't what he used to be, and A-Rod is weak sauce, Canoe is struggling, and the Tigers have momentum. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Yankees lose this series.

Tigers held on today but I don't see winning another game this series. Typically when you beat the Bombers in the Bronx, they generally come back with fire in their eyes and stick to their opponent. Yankees in 4

Tell'em how it is RTR I agree with you that Tigers are gonna take Game 3. And they have a very good possiblity to take Game 4 against Wright. I'm just waiting to see what the line on the Tigers is gonna be for tomorrow. I really don't think they will be +220 underdogs again lol. Although it'd be nice, I made a killing today on that game. And the Cards are looking good right now. But yeah, my money will be right there with yours tomorrow.

baseball out of all the sports is the hardest to dominate and predict. Football can have a team go 14-2 and dominate, basketball a team can go 60-20 well you get the idea. Some baseball teams in the playoffs had only a 60 percent winning number. Let's not get carried away with one detroit win. One must really hate the yanks if you can see them losing after losing one game. A good hitter hits 300 and still makes out 70 percent of the time. So as powerfull as the Yanks re they still can lose games and did thruout the year. I still think they can win this series easily, yes easily

valid point. but on the flip side I have been watching this Tigers team all season long.. I've watched at least 85%+ of all their regular season games.. how many of the people here can say that?? I bet anybody here outside of Michigan hasn't watched more than a handful of Tigers games at the max.. which is exactly why everyone is so quick to jump on the Yankees bandwagon.. pure ignorance.. the bottom line is I do know this team well, and they are a very sound ballclub (underrated) and it wouldn't surprise me in the least for them to beat the Yankees..

Yankees have the bats, but Tigers have better pitching and a better bullpen (I TOLD you guys that Zumaya would tear it up in Game 2).. and we all know outstanding Pitching beats outstanding offense.. and as a matter of fact I think the Yankees bullpen sucks (except Rivera), so if the Tigers pitching can be outstanding (like it was today) then I expect them to put enough offense up on the board against them to win this series.

Yanks shouldn't have even got 3. Posada was struck out and caught a damn break with 2 outs. Which led to Damon getting up and hitting that bomb.

That being said, Folks who think the yanks are going out quietly in the next 2 games are crazy. I dont' care where that lineup sets up shop at and who against, they can hit, and they won't lose the next 2 in a row... It will be a good finish in this series.........

with any other pitcher besides Rogers I would agree with you.

No way Kenny lasts 3 innings tomorrow.

One, I'm not of Michigan but it looks like the Tigers have found a way to to make the Yankees use the RP's and that's were they have the advantage. Starters cancell each other but the Tiger pen is better. I heard and read some fools after game one were saying "sweep" - I haven't laughed that hard in weeks. Tigers have the advantage and should make New York pay for not holding serve. Doesn't matter if it goes four or five games.

In case you didn't know I hate the evil empire and always root against them. Here are reasons why Detroit win game three. It's like real estate, pitching, pitching and pitching.

The best the Yankee can put out there is a washed up pitcher with a bad back, Could he pitch a great game yes but nothing on the season or lately suggest that. Era on the season is 5.00, last three games 7.64. This is not the Randy Johnson who was dominate and shut down the Yankees in the world series. This is a below average pitcher who has a bad back. On the road teams are batting 242 against him. When they get runners on and he has to pitch from the stretch it gets worse, they are hitting 321. But wait, if the runners get in scoring position, then the strikeout king bears down and throws the high heat by them, not!! The batting average of opponents rises to 348. This is the best you can come up with for $16 miilion dollars and on top of it he doesn't pay child support. Hes a stiff. Hard to root for this Yankee.

Lets go to the other side. Rgers era is 1.2 better at home than on the road at 3.26. Batters hit 247, with runner on 265 and when they get in scoring position 271.

Pitching wins and so do the Tigers. Gl Tiger fans I will be rooting for you!!

I agree, the Yanks could be in trouble now, the pitching matchup clearly favors Detroit tomorrow....Expect a real high scoring game tomorrow.
