From the Dean's Desk
In light of the recent legislature passed by the U.S. Congress, and the expected signing by President Bush, a number of sites have announced (prematurely I believe) to "dump" U.S. players (some within the next two weeks). I believe this to be a "knee-jerk" reaction and all the facts have not yet been released or determined, as the details must be worked out (by a committee to be formed), with a final announcement expected (within 9 months). Although the "threat" is serious, I feel that your money and your freedom to play is still available to most players throughout the world and I would not "panic," but would continue to follow the press releases by gaming sites, the legal world and your state representatives. Ignoring the information and not following the decisions and interpretations would be a mistake, so please don't assume everything is okay, it's in flux, but we should be aware, stay knowledgeable of the situation and continue to learn the game we love to play.
Its still important to raise hell about this.If this can be turned into weak legistlation it may be a blessing in disguise like I said before.
