This bill does not affect the end user in the least. This bill still attacks the bookmaker and not the betmaker. Gambling is still not officially illegal.
All this bill did was restrict the ways to send and recieve money.
The books are already comming up with creative ways to get around the new laws.
This bill was nothing more than a selling point for the upcomming elections.
Not a damm thing has changed. As a matter of fact, the more I think about it, im glad the law passed. The reason im glad, is because this may be just enough to keep Leach and Friest and Kyle satisfied. It may keep them from persuing real legislation with real teeth.
Now they have done just enough to where they can tell the religous right that they are listening to there concerns and they are after there best interest. And its not harsh enough to totally turn off the gamblers out there.
There is nothing in this bill that can be enforced on the end-user side.
Now the sportsbooks are comming up with even better ways to fund your accounts, leaving out the middle man, which means cheeper and faster withdrawls, with less of a paper trail.
I think a year from now, people are going to look back and say they are glad this bill passed.
