This bill does not affect the end user in the least. This bill still attacks the bookmaker and not the betmaker. Gambling is still not officially illegal.

All this bill did was restrict the ways to send and recieve money.

The books are already comming up with creative ways to get around the new laws.

This bill was nothing more than a selling point for the upcomming elections.

Not a damm thing has changed. As a matter of fact, the more I think about it, im glad the law passed. The reason im glad, is because this may be just enough to keep Leach and Friest and Kyle satisfied. It may keep them from persuing real legislation with real teeth.

Now they have done just enough to where they can tell the religous right that they are listening to there concerns and they are after there best interest. And its not harsh enough to totally turn off the gamblers out there.

There is nothing in this bill that can be enforced on the end-user side.

Now the sportsbooks are comming up with even better ways to fund your accounts, leaving out the middle man, which means cheeper and faster withdrawls, with less of a paper trail.

I think a year from now, people are going to look back and say they are glad this bill passed.

Chop, that is GREAT.

Anyone concerned should educate themselves a little bit, and then it can be put out of mind. And go back to what should concern you more, which is properly managing your bankroll and making great wagers.

Remember guys there still should be outrage of what they are doing. ALso to limit potential future bills/laws we need to let them know. Weneed to voice our concersn and have them heard. It is important. Good news though, I agree.

This bill was nothing more than a way to make the religous right feel like they have influence.

In the real world, I dont think Bill Friest cares one way or the other. The Republicans are just trying to solidify there precieved base.

I will gladly let them pass this bill if it means that they are going to leave this issue alone.

This little bill may be enough to get the goverment to leave this issue alone for another 5 or 6 years and worry about other more important things. Better yet, once they see(and they already know) that this bill cant be enforced, this may be there excuse for regulating the industry.Which is something that they probably really want to do deep down inside, but dont want to suffer the backlash from the moral police.

Well for all you cautious (scaredy cats) guys, the word is the bill will be signed NEXT friday.

You cats have a week to scorch the books. Netty teller is going full steam, not a single problem or delay.

I don't understand how it effects even the bookmaker. Can someone explain that part to me? It seems to be all about the financial institutions.

WHY WOULD THERE BE??..........IT IS NOT A LAW YET!

This goes for all offshore sportsbooks and US financial institutions too.

IT IS NOT A LAW YET, THUS Neteller/offshore shops/US financial institutions DO NOT HAVE to do a damn thing...yet.

The problems will/could occur IMMEDIATELY after this is signed into law............EVERYONE HERE REALIZE THIS!

Also, the FINANCIAL instiutions have UP TO 270 days to do something..........which translates into them possibly doing something WELL before those 270 days are up.
