MLB annoounced today, Thome and Garciaparra win league comeback player awards.

I still feel that what Thomas did was more of a comeback the what Jim Thome did..

MLB had some really big comeback stories in 2006 all 3 are well deserving.

Thome just overcame an injury plagued year. His stats were very similar to what he produced in 2004. Thomas on the other hand went from seeming obscurity and career decline to being a feared offensive player again. Giving it to Thome just plain seems incorrect.

Voting was conducted on MLB.com :icon_conf
The margin of victory for Garciaparra and Thome was unknown. Major League Baseball would not release vote totals for other players in the balloting, spokeswoman Susan Goodenow said.

I'm not sure how long MLB.com has been in charge of this but, I agree it does not seem right.
