No kidding. Grew up in LA, I can't think there is possibly a place with more fair weather fans. Even in San Diego the fans are half-way decent. LA fans only go to games or spend a dime on a team if they are winning or get free tickets. Most claim they won't go otherwise because of "traffic", but when you think of the people around the country that drive 4 or more hours each way to catch every game they can its almost comical.
WildBill- I couldn't have said it any better myself. I'm from Columbus and I've lived out here for seveal years now. I'm still in shock about "fans" out here. I believe the classic and most popular excuse out here is "well, there's so much more to do out here. Sports come secondary". My friends out here think I'm crazy or something when I disappear on the weekends until about 8pm at night. Hell, my girlfriend is one of the few people I can get to go to a ball game half the time. The other guy I usually go to games with is a native Sooner, that explains why he'll go to a game.
