Nobody gave us a chance against the Yankees and to beat them is huge for this city. Also it just happens to be our first playoff appearance in 19 years and first playoff series win in 22 years . I love it.

Nah, but they did just beat the Yankees. The "unbeatable" team.

yep they are acting like they won the world series. When was the last time they won?? 1984 or 1884...hehe. There young players wont even be on the team as they dont like to pay there players. Fans pack those seats to an owner who likes to shave payroll.

first playoffs series win since '87 almost 20 years ago, plus they beat everyones odds on favorite , the yankees.

after all these shit squads they have had, including a 119 loss season and being worst team in bigs every year for so long, nothing wrong with a little celebrating.

I thought they overcelebrated too, but they do deserve a little extra considering they blew the division and didn't get to celebrate anything...I don't think it will carry over or will be a let down come tuesday, they have enough veteran players, and Pudge won't allow it.

I bet the Yankees just love Ivan Rodriguez! :missingte

Torre is out and Pinnela is in for the Yankees. 1 Billion Dollars in payroll the last 5 years and no championships!

Did they celebrate too much? No! They decided to celebrate with the fans instead of just in the clubhouse is all!

WINKYDUCK sent me tix for the series and I have to say this was the greatest sporting event I have ever went to.. It was like Michigan vs. Ohio St at the BIG HOUSE X 2.. For anyone that has ever been to the Big Game, NO shit! It was electric at copo...

Thanks Duck Kim and I were 14 rows away from the foul line 30 feet away from the RF pole... Did you get the pics on txt msg?

agreed no championships in 5 years and they should have had at least 1 or 2 in that span. At least there owner puts them in contntion and they are the favorite every year. more then i can say for the red sox and other teams. I iwsh my team would spend and care like there team. I strongly doubt this string of no championships will continue for long. This is why they play the games isnt it. Best franchise in sports hands down with a history that is second to none.

ive heard on sports radio around detroit that they celebrated on the field with the fans because they felt like they owed the fans a party after blowing the division vs Kansas City
