I was actually think about the odds of that right after their loss today. I figured it was about a 60% chance he'll be back.

I'd take NO. His playoff performance was a joke and Big Stein and Cashmann need some heads to roll.

How is going to take him, unless NYY pay most of the salary ?

I'd take yes.

I would take YES also

The contract is just too difficult to move

Unless they deal with the Red Sox, but hell has a better chance of freezing over

the yanks are a joke plain and simple..they need to start over
No farm. They are looking just like the Yanks of the 70's.

they would only trade him if a team would give up good pitching for him and take on his salary, doubt it.

imo A-Rod is long gone from New York. He appears to have very few supporters in the clubhouse and after their woeful pitching display this series I'm sure the Yanks will be looking for another quality starter.

The LA Angels were rumored to be interested and they have a selection of young quality arms they could spare with to make it work.

With Philip Hughes likely to come up next year the Yanks rotation could improve significantly over this year's mess.

How is that contract too diffcult to move the Rangers are paying close to 40% of his contract? He wasn't even the highest paid Yankee this year since the Yankees paid him 16 million out of 25 million dollar (roughly) salary. If they Yankees are willing to throw in 5 million per year or take back salaies that are atleast 5 million from whoever they trade him too at 11 per year for another team to take him someone will step up to the plate to trade for a guy who averages .300 35 hr 120 rbi's. He needs to get out of New York just as bad as New York needs to get rid of him. Besides if the contract of Mike Hampton, Chan Ho Park and the like could be moved so can anyone else's including A-Rod

rumor has it that torre will be fired and lou pinella will be the next yankee manager. If that is the case, i will guarantee that arod remains. Arod and lou have a PHENOMENAL relationship. AROD thinks of lou as a father figure. I will unload on the yes if pinella becomes manager.

I would get rid of Giambi before A-Rod.....Giambi moving for a couple of pitchers makes more sense to me....also makes the yanks cleaner..LOL

at THIS PRICE the ONLY way to play it is

NO +220

i still think he is playing home games in 2007 on the corner of Katella/State College in Anaheim as a member of the LA Angels of Moscow Idaho

Agree with no at these prices. E-Rod could go to a team that has a need for a shortstop, already has an elite 3rd baseman, and a hot minor league guy stuck behind the solid guy already there. Bring up the rookie, fill SS with E-Rod, have Tex and NYY pay big chunk of salary. Not sure what team that describes.

I'd never tie up money on the yes at -110, let alone -280 or whatever. You probably can't bet much anyway.

Another plane incident

A-Rod was in a small plane that slid off the runway yesterday.

Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was aboard a private plane that overran the runway yesterday at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif., but Rodriguez and the six other people on the plane were not hurt.

Combined with the other small plane incident, it's obvious that Steinbrenner has put out contracts on all his high salary guys.

Which of course makes the Don't the right side of this bet.
