I know we live in a fast moving world today. But I'm wondering if this particular bill/law is common knowledge among gamblers that play online fairly regularily (several times a week)?

These forums are read by what % of them/us?

i would say 90% of u.s. gamblers no nothing about this bil
I think its higher....an example is I was playing at Ultimetbet the past 3 nights each night in the chat box Id say " so what you think about htis new Poker ban internet law fellows"

1 person heard " something about it" the rest knew nothing about it at all

I would say 90% do not know OR CARE about this bill heck 90% or more of the gamblers do not know about forums like the RX either or know what a POST or THREAD is IMO

I think we all forget since many of us post at fourms everyday that VERY VERY FEW gamblers know about these sports fourms....EXTREMELY few in the scope of the MILLIONS that wager

These people are in for a rude awakening.

Imagine those who play online gaming and are good enough they depend on all or portion of those fund to pay bills. By the time they know it will be too late.

I say 99 percent and I have a inside out view of things. Not only can you not tell anything passed, but no one is panicing or worrying either.

I tried to tell people that I work with. They had no clue what I was telling them. One day they will try to logg on and not be able to play.

Best thing about nbot logging in and be able to play is that it will cause a huge uproar and backlash.

When you take something away from someone when they were doing nothing wrong.....

i am personally going to do something terrible if i wake up one day to find all my money gone because of the feds trying to push their morals on everyone else. there will be riots in the streets around here, and i imagine a bunch of other places. i despise the idea of the bumbling idiot government taking all my money and say i cant do that because they dont like the idea of people gambling. makes em feel icky.

I think the Republican politicians are in for a rude awakening. They use gay marriage and immigration as rallying points fully knowing they are not getting any gay or hispanic votes anyway. I don't think they have a clue as to how many middle of the road Republicans play poker online. They have lost and will lose a ton of support.

Alot of people I know that DON'T GAMBLE have mentioned the bill to me, since they know I gamble.

Thus, I would say most that do regularly gamble online are aware of the bill.

All may not know exactly what the bill entails, but most are aware online gambling is being restricted.

If you are any type of gambler and don't know what's going on with this govt bullshit, I then dare say said gambler is most likely a losing gambler.:nohead: :money:

Probably a very good point here. The people that DON"T play on line are well aware of a law. Those are the scary people of the world. I know a couple of guys at the races and they seem to have a sorta happy smirk as they both knew about it. One guy siad to me---It's allways been illegal, they're just coming after the money now! They don't play on line but play the horses daily!

Hard to figure.
