The Bolts will be wearing the 'powder blue' uniforms arguably the best uniforms ever worn in any sport...and speaking of San Diego uniforms, well there were those old Padres brown uniforms too. :missingte

Anyway, it's a big night for the Bolts and Padres....At St Louis in baseball and hosting the Steelers in football.

What in the hell was that from the Steelers?

Is this a Cards/Pads thread or Bolts/Steelers thread?

I was gonna sit and post a while more but since Chargers got the Powder Blues on I'm going to watch and reminisce the days of Hadl, Alworth, Garrison. Post, Frazier, Lincoln and on the D side Speedy Duncan--onetime holder of longest int return for 6 at 101 yds

Who was the smallish RB the Chargers had , I saw something about him on NFL films a while back? Was it Paul Lowe?

Lowe was a back with early 60's Chargers while Lionel James was 5-6 and nicknamed little train. I believe he was there after James Brooks in latter part of mid 80's

Oh yeah Little Train James...I was thinking furtehr back, with the rest of that list you mentioned.

...no i was talking back when they wore these uniforms in the 60's.

Lionel James and James Brooks were very similar players, both great pass catchers too.

Dicky Post was a small back that played much tougher than his size and he ran mostly between the tackles
