STORRS, Conn. (AP) -- Five players were dismissed from the Connecticut team by coach Randy Edsall on Monday for violating team rules.
The players are sophomore wide receiver Nollis Dewar, freshman wide receiver Todd Dorcelus, junior safety Ricky McCollum, junior defensive end Harold Stanback and freshman Carl Teague.
The school would not elaborate on the violations and said it would have no further comment.
The Huskies (2-3) have lost three of their last four games. They host Army (3-4) on Saturday.
