Want your guys opinions on this?

Took a girl the favorite -2.5 games, also took underdog +300. Supervisor canceled my -2.5 games bet claiming it was a bad line.

Was no big deal to me, but after further review, I think the guy was wrong iin doing this. I dont believe in shot taking so said ok. But didnt think line was off enough too merit a bad line.

Seems kind of low game handicap for a ML of that price. Enough to make it a bad line. To me that would be match dependent. Hard to say there can be a strict algorithm from game lines to money lines as they would vary wildly depending on the participants. Some girls/guys are much more prone to tiebreakers and giving up first sets than others, so I would reserve judgement without knowing the players.

you got hosed. The line was not that far off to be considered bad IMO. Girls tennis lines are not set with any algorithmic standard. Like GDoberman says it depends on the matchups. You got hosed though. Did they cancel the bet before the match started?

I say book the bet, pay the bet.

Bad lines are there for typos, not for books that take an opinion and want an out.

If a half time line is 20 and a book lists it as 2.0, thats a bad line. If a half time line is 20 and a book lists it at 17, that is not a bad line in my opinion.

If a fave is -7 and a book lists them +7, that is a bad line. If they list them -4, that is not a bad line in my opinion.

If a dog is +800 and a book lists them +1000, that is not a bad line, if they list them +10000 that is.

Bad lines are meant for typos, not misjudgements in setting the line.

at least 50% of the times bad lines are free shots by the book. I agree with you 100% Sean

I dont understand how it is fair for a book to claim bad line and cancel the bet. If the line is available then it should be allowed anyways. They have plenty of money and they should take responsibility for making the mistake. Not fair in my opinion.

Maybe the manager didn't like the bets on both sides of the game and be middled, so he used bad line as an excuse?
