From Sportsbookreview.com. These crooks never stop.

10/5/2006 7:54:00 PM BetUs (SBR rating D) changes website’s teaser rules after player requests credit
On Sunday, the bettor placed a 2-team teaser. BetUs teaser rule #4 dictated that his stake should be returned to him because one of the teaser legs was a push.

"4) A push or tie in any 2-team regular teaser will result in a push for the whole teaser. Also, any portion of a 2-team teaser is graded No Action, the entire teaser will be graded No Action."

The player spoke with a manager who read a different version of rule #4 which stated the entire teaser would be graded a loss if one of the teaser legs had lost.

Player: I explained to Eric that "Unless the other team is graded as a loss" was not there earlier, and i had proof of this with a screenshot, but he said the reason must be that people in my area aren’t seeing the complete rule and that is why it isn’t showing up. That was a lie

i got to say a loss in any teaser would be a loss of the whole teaser, doesn't matter if the other one pushes, yes it favors the book quite a bit but seams rather obvious to me. BTW im no shill and i would not recomend betus but this doesn't sound that horrible

at some places any tie gives you a push for the teaser even if the other team loses.

It is very important to read the rules at each book, except it seems betus since they change the rules as they go.

On overall practice I agree it isn't a big deal. However the book didn't state the rule quoted by the manager. If a customer is responsible for checking out the posted rules, sportsbooks should be responsible for following those same posted rules.

They changed their rules post bet.

This is worse than a no pay. I will never ever play at a book that feels they can rewrite their rules post bet.

BetUS are known for changing their rules mid or post play. Just wait until you try and make a withdrawal, especially after you received a bonus when you joined or re-upped.

Two years ago, I opened an acct and received a 100% bonus. After playing there for a few months, and winning ( shockingly enough ), I decided to take the money and run, only it wasnt that easy. They decided that I should have to roll over my deposit + bonus 16 times to be able to make a withdrawal. To make things easier on me, and without notification, shortly after the withdrawal request, they cut my maximum wager from $2000 ( win amount ) to $500, thereby making me have to place four times as many wagers. Miraculously I continued to win, and when I requested another withdrawal, they told me that I hadnt reached my rollover requirement and that they would be taking back their bonus. After informing them that I had actually wagered $20,000 over my rollover requirement, the clerk then told me that I would be charged 4.5% of my balance to access my funds.

Needless to say I asked for the entire balance and have never played there again.

That's downright online robbery. This Betus has to be one of the top three scam book out there currently. Seems a day doesn't go by I don't read something negative about these bandits.

You know for the last year when commenting on BETUS I only told of my experience which was mainly positive.

They offered a nice sign up bonus, great dog lines and did pay me promptly on 3 occassions when I beat them.

I knew of their past but truely thought they were turning the corner and trying to do the right thing. It was my intention to redeposit with them around midseason when I finished off the rollovers at a couple books that Im playing with.

Fuck that!!!!!!

Stupid things like changing terms after a wager is made shows me that they are stupid and dont give a shit about doing the right thing. I guess a leopard doesnt change his spots.

So great job BETUS!!! You just lost another customer:carto1710

Not a big teaser guy here but some are inferring that at some books a loss and a push on a teaser is a push? This seems nuts. Please name books that do this or shut up on the betus being crooks on the issue front. I am very skeptical that anyone can name any without having played many teasers.

I made some notes on teaser rules six months to a year ago, so I am not positive every single one of these books has kept their same rules, but anyway as of fairly recently, the following is a very partial list of books that had the rule you’re asking about that a two-team teaser with one push (regardless of whether the other leg won, lost, or pushed) is graded as a push:

Bet Jamaica
Bodog
Bowmans
Canbet
Mansion
Pinnacle
Sports Interaction
Worldwide
WSEX

This is also the traditional rule in Las Vegas.

The reasoning behind the rule is that there is no such thing as a “1 team teaser,” and hence since pushes reduce down (e.g., a 4 team teaser with a push becomes a 3 team teaser), any teaser that reduces all the way to 1 team is simply cancelled.

Thanks. I will be damn. Very surprising to me. Learn something every day and that may be another reason for me to explore teaser territory a bit more. I take back what I said then. Bash away at betus for this backhanded crap. Thanks for the information sir. The logic behind the rule makes perfect sense now that I think about it.
