Call me Crazy but I like Oakland Tomorrow for some reason. I also like the Under. The numbers seem to point to Detroit. They have been hitting better lately, Rogers has pitched better than Harden late in the year, and their bullpen has been lights out.

Still I am leaning towards a bet on Harden. He hasnt exactly been a model of consistency in his injury plagued year and his last start was aweful, but I think he gets it done and the As come steal one back. Dont get me wrong I think Detroit slams this series down in 5 or 6, but I like Harden here for some reason. I also noted that Detroit has played slightly worse at home this year and Oakland has been a very solid road team.

I noticed that not alot of people have been posting their opinions early so i thought i would start this thread in hopes that i could get some feedback on this game.

Its gonna be cold in Michigan. How are those California pretty boys gonna react to that?

I played Oakland game 1 - LOSS
game 2 - LOSS

I'm seeing a trend here....and those were their home games!

Part of me wants to play em til they win.....but it might be time to jump ship....

Rogers was amazing against NY....think he can do it twice in a row? With his old bones in that coooold temp? I have to stop here before I convince myself to play oakland again.

I can see that play a factor in the total but saying that will effect the side is hogwash. Baseball is a summer game and players on every team are rarely used to the cold weather -- that be if they hail from Detroit or from California. Hell for all i know Detroit might have more players that were raised in Cali than Oakland.

Cold Weather means a guy who throws hard (Like Harden -- No pun intended) will be harder to hit. Advantage Oakland IMO

I agree. In cold weather the harder throwing pitcher is hard to hit. This being said remember those flamethrowers in Detroits bullpen. If Oakland gets an early lead, which I think they do, they should be alright to hold on til the end. This is going to be a very fast game. No baseball player likes playing in the cold. With a 2-0 lead Detroit could be setting up for a disappointing game. Even though I think Detroit wins the series, Oakland sneaks away with a game.

Zumaya won't be available for the Tigers in tomorrow's game, he is out with a sore wrist. I took the A's last game, and I am really struggling to pull the trigger on either team right now. I don't know if Rogers can have another performance like he did agianst New York, but going againt the Tigers right now is just plain stupid. Going to need to really have some balls to pull the trigs on the A's 2 times in a row against a Tigers team that looks like a team of destinty right now.

Harden only had a couple starts at the end of the year...he was on the DL for the 2nd half of the season.

Harden, when healthy, probably has the best stuff in the AL. Great value tomorrow on Oakland. Im on it as well

that's what I told myself in regard to betting NYM, was going to bet them big Game 1, and then Game2 if they had lost. Didn't see STL winning two in Shea. Glad they got it done early.
