I keep it really simple.

MNF, keep an eye on the underdog. In a tie game if they are driving down the field and are about to get into field goal range or you think they are looking good and will score, you should still be able to get them + money.

Last week as the Ravens got around the 35 yard line and looking good, I got them at about +145. In this particular situation, the Ravens turned the ball over so I was screwed. However, if they had scored it is most likely that you could have had the Broncos at +150ish or much better if you are patient and wait till they punted again.

Simple and easy money, just can't force a bet.

I'm also interested in hearing how others do it on a regular basis though.

Good question Kruser. Could be a good thread. Have never really done this myself (never even used wsex interactives) but would love to see how others play.

I do:

Here's my M.O.

Just took:

Under 8.5 runs +110 at Intertops for $550 (their max)
Over 8 runs-108 at Pinnacle $594 to win $550

If the game happens to land 8 I win $605 with NO RISK. If it goes Over 8.5, I win $10. Under 8 I push

I'm also new at this. I keep an eye on the live lines during the game and look for obvious picks. Here's what happened last week in the BAL - DEN game:

I had BAL +5 before the game and BAL scored first (FG). The Denver ML immediately went to +133 so I jumped on it to create a middle/scalp.

Late into the 4th quarter, Denver leads 13-3 and Pinny offers DEN -9.5 at +120, so I also jump on that in case the middle doesn't hit (it didn't).

Ended up winning $60. If BAL had come back with a TD, I would've won $140. Only way I could have lost money is if BAL had come back with only a FG, which was pretty unlikely since it served no purpose that late in the game.

Monday night I bet Denver -5. They took a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. So the live line came out. It was Balt +9.5 +420 or so. SO I bet Baltimore +9.5 and hedged my bet. But the key is because it was +420 I only had to put a little down. I was hoping that Baltimore would kick a FG and I would win both bets. But they got intercepted and I lost the live bet but hedged my bet. remember if they scored a TD I would have lost my Denver -5 initial bet but won the live bet. ANd at +420 it was worth it in my opinion. Hope you can follow. Any ?'s feel free.

Tigers $550 to win $183 at -300 (intertops)
A's $134 to win $550 at +410 (pinnacle)

Tigers win, I win $50

Whorman, Nice. Keep them coming.

I was also wondering how some people play them by taking gambles at Pinny.

There are two types of interactive betting. Some, like WSEX, maintain the handicap and adjust the juice while others, like Pinnacle, vary the handicap to encourage action, especially if the game runs away from the pre-game line.

When the handicap changes one has a chance to middle the book and win both sides. With WSEX its case of buy low sell high or sell high buy low.

The best games for the player are those that see-saw back and forth with each team taking the lead. Thus one can risk the amount you are prepared to lose then middle/scalp it back and forth several times. Provided you scalp, there is always a profit and if the middle comes in you get a great payday. Identifying and playing these games will lead to profits.

This is what I did the other day. Bet the Tigers in game 2 when they got behind by 1 run, as I didn't think Loaiza would shut them down, then bet the Tigers again when they got down 2 runs for the same reason. The next inning the Tigers got the lead by a few runs and I bought back, leaving myself 50 to win 700+ on the Tigers.

I've played the WSX live betting numerous times. My advice is almost always go for the dog. My favorite by far is baseball because if you happen to luck out and hit a game that goes back and forth you can make a nice profit - even after one or two innings. All it takes is a threat of a major rally and the odds can jump in your favor. To some extent same with football. If you have money on the dog and the fave starts to come back, the odds go the other direction and you can sell when the price is right and lock in a profit for the night. Of course you can lose a lot of money too - so be careful!
