As much as people, media, and experts have wanted to write off the Cardinals, they just showed why they have a chance to win this series and maybe more. They have gone through 2 8 game losing streaks and a 7 game losing streak with each time the Cards on the edge of falling out of first, not making the playoffs, and now tonight nearly losing any chance of winning series and they respond once again! Looks like big edge for the Cards with Carpenter pitching and he pitches a dud. Mets had the edge on paper with their bullpen and it looks like sleepy time for the Cards. Pujols had not gotten a hit the entire series but low and behold they rise from the dead once again. Pujols starts hitting, Spezio gets some big clutch hits, and then the surprising blow from Taguchi. Before playoffs started, I said Cards, because they were tested and forced to battle all the way down to the wire, were more ready for playoffs this year than any other. I was right. This team is gelling at the right time especially that bullpen. I predicted the Cards in 5 before series started. Likely won't be 5 but if Cards can win 2 of 3 in St. Louis, they will win this series with Carpenter and Suppan vs Trachsel and Maine in final 2 games. Let's Do It Cards!

Kojak, you are right on dude!

Big Momentum shift in this series now. Cardinals have the advantage with best of 5 coming up and 3 of them at home. Mets pitching is tired and Trachsel pitching tonight with what has to be a bad St. Louis memory of giving up number 62 to Mark McGwire in 1998.

After watching the Mets sitting on each other's laps and goofing around in the dugout with a 3-0 lead, thinking this was going to be an easy rout, they now have a legitimate worry. They are the tight ones now.

The Cardinals win this series in 6.
