i'll admit, i'm a lifelong yankee fan, but do the mets really have the best team in bb? i mean their starting pitching is thin, esp. with the injuries. maine looked like a rookie, and now traschel and OLIVER PEREZ? i think they've been doing it with mirrors, and the luck is finally running out. wdyt?:nopityA:
Series is far from over but think it is a real uphill battle for Mets. Their best bet is to win both Game 4 and Game 5. If Cards even win one of these next 2, their chances are slim to none going back to NY down 3-2 with Maine and Trachsel having to win Games 6 and 7 vs Carpenter and Suppan. They have to beat Reyes and Weaver to have a chance next 2 nights on road in hostile environment with Perez and Glavine (3 days rest pitching). Smartest thing they could do would be for Randolph to move Glavine back to Game 6 if they win tomorrow night. Would give them better shot imo.
