Congrats Tigers! Win it all.

Jim Leyland is without a doubt the best manager in bases...I love the guy...he's a no bullshit guy that means and believes everything he says.

Are they burning the city down yet?
Does this mean that Eminem will do the anthem for game 1?

(Sorry-couldn't resist.....I'll be rooting for them. There's something about Leyland that tough to not like)

I kept thinking this too. The image of the upside down car on fire with the kid holding up the tigers sign in excitement is one I probably wont forget.

But who am I to talk. Somebody died and lots of property destroyed and some people had to be pepper sprayed during the '04 riot following the Sox WS win.

sports radio/newspapers/media in Detroit get furious over the fact that people still harp on this 20 years later and after numerous (Pistons and Red Wings titles) celebrations. Not one thing has ever happened since that ugly scene. Kind of unfair to continue to judge a city on something from over 20 years.

Ice, I think you can thank Sports Illustrated for that.

I dont think there will be a riot. I know TTinCo was just kidding and I was just remembering the incident. They handled all of their NBA titles well. I am happy for the city and wish the Tigers luck.

I hear ya.

Not coming down on you. it's just every time a Detroit sports team wins that is what we always hear (the city will burn).

LOL Rob I'm in a great mood right now. Hit MGM yesterday for $500 on Friday. Tigers win today, Michigan wins today Florida loses so Michigan moves up. Just got home from bowling in a mixed league, rolled a "fucking" 279 (10 pin in the ninth) and won more money. Had a great gambling weekend even with my Betwtts acount frozen.

LOL No not any more fires than they usualy have. This city has more fires than I hav ever heard of. Old houses with poor electrical work is a huge problem. My house was built in 1928. I have replaced every wire in my house.

They have changed the name to "Angels Night" because they have alot of volunteers who patrol the city.
