Journey, LOVE seeing you on the same side. So I took the mets the other night for 4 units (biggest bet in baseball), posted it here, texted my buddies told them I had them, and log in that night and see that the play never went through...absolute bullshit, I got FAWKED...I am so dissapointed, that uscks, i rooted the whole game, watched the explosions, got all happy, and come hoem to see that my book said the play never got accepted even though I had the ticket # and was gonna leave the page open but i deided to check espn realy quick for something, and never went back...
So tonight im putting 5 units on the Mets...I really feel robbed, so maybe the Mets will repay me tonight + another unit to add (b/c I wouldnt be taking this game if i hit my big play Sunday, so this is to see if the gambling Gods will reward me for getting robbed
Took Beltran TOTAL BASES over Pujols as well, how do you feel about this one? Beltran has only hit .262 vs Weaver lifetime in 42 at bats, but he has 2 2B's, 2 3B's & 3 HR's (3 singles as well), thats 25 bases because they only count the total bases from your hit, not how many total bases you round, just the bases you get on YOUR hit...Pujols on the other hand is 9-20 life time (.450 BA), but they have ALL been singles and thats 9 bases...so if you average out to 40 at bats, he would have 19 bases...so I found it to be a good advantage, hopefully Pujols doesnt break loose tonight because he has been quiet all series...Beltran has been on fire, so ill go with the hitter whose advantage is about 6 bases average....
LETS GO METS..I have them for the Series as well, -190 to win 4 units...a win tonight wil make things beautiful

Man, its funny how a single would completley put us in the game...A measley single...I sitll cant believe Green hit that garbage pitch for pop up..the whole series on the line, and he doesnt even try and grind out a good pitch...ugh...still pissed that my account is gonna be down $500 cause of this game, when it should only be $235 if the Mets bet that I won in a beautiufl fashion would have been credited...things just not going my way this week...I was down $1400 right after my Eagles bet lost, after being up $3k on the season, I lost half of it on Florida +3.5 (down by 4 with seconds left, and the pick 6 to make it a 10 pt lead would have never happened if that garbage fumble wasnt called on Leak when he was CLEARLY moving his arm in a throwing motion, and even the broadcasters said it was going to be overturned, and the refs had all the evidence in the world to call it a incomplete pass and they rule it as a fumble still)...that was my 6 unit GOW, then my 4 unit big bet on WVU -25...UP 27 with 2 mintues to go, and Cuse goes for a field goal when they clearly are blown out, and any team would try for the TD, anwyay goes for the FG and WV wins by 24..lose by 1 point...so thats my 2 big bets losing by 1.5 points...then take the Eagles -3 for 6 units, up 7, and Saints score a 60 yard TD and then HOLD THE BALL THE ENTIRE 8 MINUTRES LEFT IN THE GAME, and win a garbage FG...So I put 5 units on TB 2nd half PK (down 7) and realize I have a 3 teamer with TB ML, NYG ML, and Carolina ML...the 2nd 2 had one...TB down 6 with 30 seconds to go, 4th and goal from the THIRTEEN and the rookie QB throws a TD...I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT...WON a $50 3 teamer to win $750 and another 4 units on my 2nd half bet... Iwas in shock....continue the hot streak with a 4 unit bet on the Mets after I had won 80% of my losses on ONE PLAY, a 4th and 13 TD pass by a Rookie QB...boom realize my Mets game didnt get graded, so im thinking its sitll pending, and soon enough realize that they said it never exitsted after I clearly saw a ticket # and a confirmation...Youd think things couldnt get worst....now the Mets in their biggest inning of their amazing season, men on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out (3 more feet and that hit by Wright would have been a HR)...3 FEET! and now the Mets down 2, gonna face a rookie closer who hasnt allowed SHIT all year...what a bad string of luck huh...not to mention Pujols getting one hit, and it of course being a HR to lose my Prop bet for 2 units as well....Its funny, going into this weekend I was up 60 units, now it seems like I will be down to about 45, maybe less, to miserable to even do the numbers afer I was clearly ROBBED off 4 units on a Mets bet win that my book said never existed...to top it off, take the Mets again, and they lose like this? Sucks man...really sucks...this upcoming inning will be the biggest inning of the Mets season, maybe even the Mets decade...They have clearly not been able to win 2 in a row vs the Cards this series, and every run scored last game was because of HR's (at least the first 9 runs, or something near those figures)....this team will not be able to blast HR's left and right...LaRussa rested his BP last game from the get go knowing it was gonna be a blowout...now lose 7 units here, and antoher 7.6 riding on the Series....
Anyway I can hedge Journey? What are your thoughts? I can get the Cards at prob -140 or so, should I just go with the odds and buy back my Mets bet for at least 6 units...meaning Mets lose I lose 1.6...Cards lose I lose 4.4...both those numbers look better than losing 7.6 on the Mets series...I think those numbers are right...REALLY hope the Cards series price is less than -150 after this game, which I could see occuring since the next game is at Shea...should I wait and hope Mets grind out a win at home next game, or Should I just cut my losses and take the Cards for the series after the game? going with your opinion, your my favorite baseball capper...or I can let the Mets bet ride, add on 2 more units at + $, andsee if they can string 2 wins a row and take the series in amazing fashion...I mean, they have had a incredible season day in and day out this season, couldnt their WS Championship drought end in sweeter fashion then being down 3-2 and coming back to land in the Series
Also I find it odd, that the 2 teams that were arguabley the COLDEST TEAMS IN THE MAJORS during the end of the Season (Detroit blew a DD game lead in the AL Central, and Cards lost something like 8 straight didnt they)...anyway I find it odd that the 2 coldest contenders are now either IN,or HEADED to the Series...Detroit BARELY got past Minny to win the Central, and Cards lost more than the D-Rays and Orioles combined in the last month of the season....

Either way I lose less than I would by just losing the 7.6 on the Mets....As long as its -150 or less ill take it

Well guys one game to go! I got down to Paddio's at about 4 pm for a few cold ones and appetizers. Left for Busch at 630 pm. Despite the excellent outcome for us Cards fans, what a great night. It felt like the 80's all over again. Whitey threw out the first pitch. People were passionate about winning and loud as hell instead of worrying about closing a landmark down. I even went out for a smoke and ended up meeting and talking to Don Johnson from Miami Vice. I am about as hoarse as can be as all night had to get my section off their ass to make some noise, smoked about a pack of cigarrettes, and had I don't know how many cold frosty ones but it was all worth it. I wish I would have saw your post Just Win, I was down there drinking by myself until about 530 pm waiting on my group. Anyway, still taking nothing for granted as Cards proved in 04. But I will tell people that Carpenter flew into NY this afternoon and will have a good night rest for those in the betting nation. Onward and upward to Game 6! To jman and other, I know you guys are all in good fun and it is you guys that keep it fun!
