He's worse than a bum, he's a bum and a dog. In saying that, he'll probably win today, but he's been a member of my NBOA ( Never Bet On Again ) club for years, and in fact is the President of that club.

last year, quite a few clay courters went relatively deep into this tournament. The courts played slow, certainly for an indoor hardcourt event. I wonder if that's the case this yr, anybody know? Falla and Pastor made it thru qaulies, so that might be some evidence. Although, Falla is actually decent on courts other than red dirt.

Grosjean is nursing a shoulder injury, careful anyone betting on him.

Hope,

Bjorkman +335 has some value. Its too bad he concentrates on the doubles or he would be able to beat Grosjean!

Hope1,

Being that the tournament is in Madrid, and the Spanish players love of the slower court surfaces, I wouldnt be surprised if this is one of the slower hardcourt surfaces you will see all year. Therefore, you could see a couple of the Spaniards and/or South Americans that are known for their clay court prowess moreso than their hardcourt ability going pretty deep into this tournament with a little help from the tournament organisers.

Ginepri has had a terrible year and got his butt spanked by Del Potro two weeks ago, and i'll be very suprised if he manages to beat Lopez. I also give Verdasco a big chance of beating Henman.

As the money suggested, Gaudio is already down a break. I would not be surprised if he retires as the money for Massu suggested that Gaudio had little chance.

Typical Gaudio, or Gaudio involved matches. He loses the first 3 games and then wins 6 of the next 7. My hair has never been thicker since I stopped betting on his matches.

Dont worry. He was already broken in set 2.

Hell probably go down 6-2, 6-2 in these 2 sets.

You can never rule out a 0-6 set when Gaudio is involved. When he tanks, he really tanks.

Its de ja vu all over again. Gaudio goes down 0-3 in the set and fights his way back.

Underdog tip for tomorrow is Del Potro to beat J.Johansson. I think Johansson might be a little flat physically and emotionally after going deep into last weeks Stockholm Open at his first top level tournament after a long layoff.
Del Potro is currently +168 at Pinny and well worth a play at those odds in my opinion.

As for fading JJ. Not a bad idea. I think playing at home was a big key in his success last week.

Whenever you speak, Gaudio, pulls a well a Gaudio.

It used to be that whenever I bet Gaudio he would pull a Gaudio.

The wraps on Del Potro are huge, and he had a pretty good tournament a couple of weeks ago, and I think he is getting JJ at the right time. The combination of playing at home after a long layoff would have definitely spurred him on. I think JJ could be ripe for the picking as he should be suffering a slight letdown this week after all of the emotion surrounding a very successful comeback last week.

Do I know Mr Gaudio well or what? I wish I knew him as well from 2003 to 2005 as I do now, I would have a lot more money in my pocket. Its the suckers who took -200 on him in the run on Betfair that I feel a little sorry for. Although, anyone who bets on Gaudio in my opinion should be preparded for anything.
