Congrats to the Mets fans and bettors last night. Great display by 3-4-5 in the order. But as a Cards fan, this team is giving and producing as much as they can except for 1 person......Albert Pujols! No HR,NO RBI's. The sp and bullpen has been better than expected (except for last night), guys like Molina,Eck,Spezio,Belliard, even So Taguchi and Jeff Suppan have hit. Defense besides 5th inning last night has been good. Even Tony Larussa has been managing as welll as I have see him in playoffs. The problem here is you, Mr.PUjols! It is time for you to step up and seize the moment. If we are going to make it through to the WS, you are going to have to step it up and carry Cards. This series is there to be won by both teams as both have chinks in the armor. Beltran,Delgado, now Wright are hitting. I think Mr. Pujols you are the key for the Cards from here on out. Must win for both teams tonight. Whoever wins tonight will win this series! If it is going to be the Cardinals, it is going to have to be Phat Albert Time!

Best thing Albert could do for the Cards would be to take a bat and beat Larussa to one inch of his life

That's the problem when you have a team built around one guy. The Mets have batters up and down the lineup who can get the job done. There's no pressure on one person like there is on Pujols.

Having said that, some of the Cardinals no-names have been doing a pretty good job making up for Pujols's lack of production.

"Built around one guy"?!?!?! Nah...

Problem is that the two additional "Core-players"...Edmonds and Rolen are far from 100%...

Edmonds has shown flashes in this series, but he is no where near healthy.

Rolen's shoulder is rusted metal...this "brittle" superstar has been a chronic pain in the ass...

The other major problem with the 2006 Cardinals is their failure to adjust and beat LH starters.

Blame Hal McRae for that.

OK, agreed, the team wasn't "built" around one guy. But, as you say, because Edmonds and Rolens aren't 100%, it's pretty much been a one-man show offensively. It wasn't by design, but that's the reality.
