Has anyone heard the commentary from the former Miami player on the air during the brawl?? Wish I could link it to a clip, but the guy bascially rooting on the Miami players and said he almost got on the elevator to whoop some FIU ass himself. Apparently this guy is ON THE BROADCAST TEAM, and his rapsheet includes: Aggravated battery, Brandishing a firearm, attempting suicide, strangled his fiancee in front of their child, and MORE, thats all I could remember. Dan Patrick was going down the list for like 60 seconds.

Lamar Thomas, former Miami player, is the broadcaster(and I use that term loosely) to whom you are referring. He should be fired, but he will play the race card and keep his job!

Why? His commentary was hilarious. If ABC was smart they'd can Kornheiser and Theisman and hire him. At least the broadcasts would provide some comedy instead of making you want to watch the game on mute.

Whatever Lamar Thomas..if anyone heard him during the game you would know he was NOT speaking in a joking matter. He sounded truly fired up. Idiot.

Here is what Lamar Thomas has done off the field and you tell me if you still think he was joking about wanting to fight

• Arrested and jailed for aggravated battery for attacking his pregnant fiancee with a deadly weapon.
• Arrested for violating probation.
• Detained for brandishing a handgun and threatening suicide, prompting authorities to check him in to a mental institution.
• Did jail time for again violating probation related to the battery charges, when he was arrested for choking
his fiancee. His six-month old son was present at the scene.

Dan Patrick has been saying it throughout his program. I listen to espnradio all day while I'm at work and he basically did nothing but talk about the brawl all program today with various people (his show is 1-4). He's been reminding listeners constantly, about the join the team, not a gang campaign and pointing out its irony, cracking jokes, etc.

Thomas has apparently been fired....his comments will be edited out of the replay of the game (but will of course live on forever through the magic of YouTube). He was unable to be reached for comment, no doubt as he's busy trying to figure out how to best play the race card...

you guys need to see the 45 second point in this video, a guy from FIU gets bodyslammed by a UM guy middle/left on the screen in the middle of the crowd where there is a little circle

and then at about 55 or 56 second mark on the right hand side

some UM player runs by himself bitch slaps somebody and then runs away like a little girl looking over his shoulder

Lamar Thomas ran his mouth nonstop before the 1992 national championship game versus Alabama and then caught a pass running towards the endzone and had a 15 yard lead on George Teague and He got caught from behind as Teague did not even tackle him but instead took the ball out of his arm and ran the other way.He still talked smack after the game about how much faster he was and how much better they still were despite losing 34-13.
