1* St. Louis Cardinals +125
The problem with soft lefties like Glavine? Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me.
You may never catch up to a 103 MPH fastball, but once you see a soft lefty like Glavine, especially in the same week, he aint fooling you again. Now Glavine goes on the road....can he throw 3 straight gems at his age? Once again, I have to bet against this.
Cards still put up runs last night. They got themselves, and kept themselves in a good offensive rhythm.
They are at home, they lose here, it's over for them. Theyd have to win 2 games at Shea.
They want to get this one here and then play for the split with Carpenter.
Huge, huge, huge game.
Theyll do whatever it takes to get runs.
Mets scored too many last night. In baseball, players joke that they should "save some runs for tomorrow". It always happens, I cant explain it, so i'll stick with that trend also.
Overall, just a small underdog play on a team playing at home with their backs against the wall.
Good luck
