Thats funny...and ya know after watching some of these play calls the past couple weeks I can't blame Head Coach Ego.

A couple play calls come to mind right off the bat.

Ravens inside the 5 yard line down by less than a TD to S.D. and they called an inside pitch/shovel pass to the slot receiver in which he proceeded to fumble the ball and the Ravens did not score...you never see this call that deep inside the red zone....sending a WR who is not use to running the ball into the teeth of a defense that is playing a goal line defense.

The game vs Denver , Mike Anderson was running the ball very well, and the Ravens line seemed to have Denver D on its heels RUNNING the ball...Instead of continuing to run, they decide to throw deep twice from mid field, very low percentage calls....and this was in the crucial stage of the game, score tied ....Ravens forced to punt, punt shanked and Denever scored.

3rd play right before the half of the Denver game, the Ravens are in FG range right before the half, score tied, and they throw a jump ball into the corner with Champ Bailey as the defender, instead of taking the easy 3 points in a tight low scoring game...

I realize some of this is on McNair but cmon , why even put him in that spot when you are guaranteed points?

Now we will see Brian Billick make every excuse in the book when he doesn't do any better, stay tuned.

well the big positive about this...

Billick will take over offensive play calling, and the overall responsability of the anemic offensive.

Maybe he will finally get the ax, himself? Isn't he supposed to be god's gift to football offense...? I keep hearing that, but I have yet to see it in Baltimore.

funny because him and jim were very close friends.

Fassel was to have borrowed Billicks boat to go on vacation this off season, but it was put off because of Mcnair's addition.

Well maybe billick can recapture his Viking days. somehow???

The thing is Billick knows what plays are being called and when, he has the head set on...it isn't like he didn't already have a hand in it.

Until the Ravens figure out how to run it and take Jamal Lewis out and let Smith and Anderson see more time, they will continue to struggle to pass it....An NFL QB on his heels on 3rd and 10 will struggle most of the time no matter who is back there.

It took TWO deflected pases this week for the Ravens to score two passing TDs

agree completely...

thats why i'm kinda liking this...finally there is nobody else to put the blame on...whether it be coaching staff, players, etc. If the offense continues to blow, then Billick might actually have to take the responsability for it- haha.

Billick was close to being fired last year....I don't think he will be fired though.

Good - maybe now Fassell can go back to being a head coach somewhere. He got screwed by the Giants and should be a head coach in the league.

billick hired him to coach up boller....now that bollers matured into the offense scheme who needs the guy. Billick was touted as an offensive mastermind when he took the job as ravens head coach. Hopefully they both get fired and the mooch takes over.

Billick should fire himself. Looks like he is throwing Fassel under the bus knowing damn well he's the one who's holding this offense back. I saw what Fassel did with the Giants, we know what lead to Billick success in Minnesota right? "Offensive genius" my ass!

i can't remember 2 offensive coordinaters being fired during the same season before. Heck, I can't remember any OC being fired in the middle of the season.
The sad thing is, the head coach KNOWS the playbook, it's not like he doesn't know the gameplan going into the game, what does firing the OC do really? change a play here or there. Billick is just an ego-maniac and unfortunately he let it come between himself and a friend.
I don't understand Denny Green firing his OC either. Correct me if I'm wrong but they put up over 20 points on the best D in the league didn't they? The OC can't make that shit offensive line run block any better or make the special teams punt coverage tackle any better.
