You'll notice that the World site works fine from the US.

You see officer, I wasn't selling the real coke to US citizens, I was selling this here flower. That coke sitting there is just sitting there for the hell of it...

Why not just do SBR.net? These govt jokers have no idea what is going on. All these sites putting up .net sites are just making a mockery of all enforcement efforts. Govt is just going to do what they choose when they choose to do it. We are all subject to it, but we can just ignore them and do as we please when they get off their high horse.

How in the world does a .net make any difference on a site like SBR? You are talking about gambling sites that take wagers. They make one for play money. That has nothing to do with a site like SBR.

SBR is located in Costa Rica. Why they give a fuck, I'll never know.

Not only are they not taking wagers, but they aren't even in the US.

Because idiots all over the place believe it does. At the WSOP there were rakeback sites which did .net sites because Harrahs insisted upon it. They aren't "educational" sites since you never do any gambling with a rakeback site anyways. It is just the way this stupid charade goes.

I just don't know what is up with SBR. All of a sudden they are the "good guys" and the bill has not become effective yet. We need to wait for another 270 days to really ascertain the consequences. Good bye SBR R.I.P. :machinegu:

Why do you say that Woody?

Slightly tongue in cheek, but if the advertisers believe they are not reaching the US market then they are likely to pull out (pay less).

Why someone should react like this without any justification is unbelieveable and suggests that they are not familiar with the market they purport to serve.

Probably a smart move by SBR to cover their ass*s just in case. They can't help it if every American lies about their citizenship :)

Well, the non side was not active for me, but then I'm in Canada so I don't know how it looks to you.

This step was the first of a number of measures.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

We(SBR) need to pursue geographical areas that have more progressive gaming laws and de emphasis those that do not. We will not abandon US citizens but in a step by step process we hope to utilize technology to appropriately limit some content for US citizens that may be interpreted as aiding and abetting.

Keep in mind we are only censoring links, ads and other contact info on gaming companies. The SBR US site will still have full reviews, news, ect.

Internally, this will force the SBR staff to pursue opportunities in other areas where we have been too slow to move into despite the writing on the wall.
