I'm going down with the Mets ship.

Mets +117 3 units
Over 8 -115 5 units

I believe justice will prevail here and the baseball Gods will not allow a team with 83 regular season wins into the big show...okay so maybe I am a little stubborn about it at this point.

Also want to say, sorry to Mets fans who believe I have something to do with the Mets being down 3-2 right now...it must be my fault they're 0-31 with men in scoring position to the Cards bullpen too lol.

BOL tonight everyone:103631605

Count me in...lost 10 units on them yesterday, and should only be down 6 if the oher wager that never got "in" didnt get robbed from below me...

Mets come back to win this series...have 8 units to win 4 as I told you on the Series, and adding 12 Units on Mets tommorow as well...yup, I will ride this team...this series has been VERY even, one game each, and very hard for one team to win 2 in a row as we have noticed...either Cards pitching shows up, or Mets batters...how easy does Carpenter, against a rookie, to win the NLCS look? Looks like a lock...ill take the guarenteed loser and sink with these Mets if I have to...if they win, got them next game already with the Series bet..maybe ill get repayed for having a bet I won never be credited due to it "not being in the records"...lets do this

Maine looked really solid last time out. I just hope the Mets hit the damn ball today. I am going over 8!

Maine looked real solid in last outing? What game were you watching. Never made it to 5th inning. Are you smoking crack?

Jman, I have to give you credit for sticking to your guns and I am glad you did. Like Keith Law,Steve Phillips,John Kruk, Buster Olney, and others you all will be on the same side. I also hope if we win tonight, everyone pick Detroit. Then after WS, everyone will still be picking someone else like WS isn't over yet but WS Championship #10 will be in STL and no matter how much people talk, that can never be taken away!

Neither the NYM and Stl will win the WS. As for Maine, he sucked in his last start. However, let's not forget that Carpenter didn't fool anyone either.

Took the Cards at -125 last night. Why has this dropped? Its -119 at Pinny and -120 at Cris(where I took it earlier). Is Pujols hurt worse than thought earlier?

I have a couple. Overwhelming Ny's betting Mets for one. Second, though I have not heard results but Eckstein went in for tests after the game on shoulder injured in first inning and for fingers off of failed squeeze to make sure no broken bones. Or maybe Keith Law,Jason Stark,Steve Phillips, John Kruk, or anyone else at ESPN took a loan out on their house to bet the Mets to install confidence in the general public that their Mets pick will win!

totally agree, pressure is on the mets to respond and most times that pressure catches up to you

IMO this is a hard game to call...

Generally speaking, it would seem very doubtful that Carpenter would have back-to-back terrible starts in this series. Would seem logical that he would come out dealing tonight and shut the Mets down.

Yet, the case can be made that he is tired and wearing down. He has been vulnerable away from Busch III all season...and in his last three road starts (including that gem in the NLDS):

24.2 IPs 29 Hits 16 ER

Like the over as well...just cannot decide how to look at Carpenter. Does he step up? Or is he really tired and incapable of silencing a solid hitting lineup?

Best of luck.

It seems to me that the best thing to do in baseball this post season is to bet against the obvious. In game 5, Glavine with four days rest and Sir Albert is not 100% healthy made the Cards the play. Then again, who the fuck is Glavine anyway?

Santana never losses at home? bet the A's.

Rogers winless in post season and winless against the Yanks, the Yanks lineup batting 391 vs Rogers? Rogers a fucking lock.

The two worst playoff teams down the stretch? The Tigers & the Cards, not even close. Of course they shall meet in the WS!

Carpenter >>>>>>>>>>>>> Maine. So maybe the Mets are the play today, but I just can't do it.

The worst angle in the world is being used by some to rationalize backing NY.

"This is a MUST WIN situation for the Mets"

No Kidding!!! But that doesn't mean they WILL win. The "Must Win" angle is the wettest bit of quicksand ever!

Alot of bettors are eating it up though as the Mets are being pounded and the line keeps moving.

I'm Taking the CARDINALS tonight as the line has moved to a very acceptable -113 with Carpenter on the hill.
