Line opened at -140 for NYM....now its -112....and this line was dropping even before Perex was announced....So it lloks like the Sharp money is on the cards........I like Suppan who was unhittable in the 3 game to outpitch a headcase Perez?

On paper you are right Joe, Cards surely have the starting pitching advantage. But, you never know what is going to happen. A lot has to do with the mental makeup of these guys when put in a Game 7 situation to get to the WS. That is just my opinion. Personally, I am laying off this one and just watching as a fan of baseball. Always great to watch a game 7, especially when a trip to the World Series is on the line.

P.S. NBA Futures are posted in the appropriate forum. :103631605

Can you give some numbers here and tell us from where, I havn't decided on any side yet, or total, but I would think a game 7, would have many bettors on both sides, I don't think it is as lopsided as you say it is. In fact, I would think the home team, especially a New York team would have the majority of the public on them.

sure the cards have the better pitcher once again but the best pitcher has lost the past two games. glavine loses then right after carpenter loses though he pitched well. it will come down to the bats tonight and i see slufest tonight. so i will take the over 8.5 -125.

The last 11 home teams to win Game 6 has won Game 7...this from Fox News

The past 11 home teams that won Game 6 of an LCS or World Series to stave off elimination have won Game 7, too. The last time a home team dropped Game 7 after winning Game 6 was 1975, when Boston lost to Cincinnati's Big Red Machine.
But the Cardinals have this going for them: No team in major league history has won more do-or-die Game 7s than the Cardinals, who are 9-4 in those instances.

Mets are also 7-0 in team history in clinching/elimination games at Shea Stadium. Also, Cards or any team managed by Tony Larussa has ever won a series in which Tony's team lost GAme 1. Under Cards, 0-5!

Jeez, Kojak, I understand what you're trying to do, but all I can think of is Donald Sutherland in Kelly's Heroes--which had Telly Savalas in it by the way, talking to Gavin MacLeod, "Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves."
"Always with the negative waves, Kojak, always with the negative waves."

Agree with Arnie here, enough is enough. You and Joe have been going head to head with this reverse jinx debacle, how about you just wait until the game starts, watch it and see how it plays out. Enough with all this.

Salute.

some of you guys are giving Suppan too much credit...he was below average on the road this season. O. Perez can either be really good or really bad...but the bullpen has plenty of options in case he looks shaky early. My guess is he goes 4 innings and pitches fairly well for those 4 and then they pinch hit for him in (I'm guessing) his 2nd AB.

at NBX.com I made the Mets a -113 favorite and all 3 bets have been on the Cards @ +105.

you guys should check that site out...put me on your buddy list.

gonna just watch this game as a fan with no REAL money on it, GL to all you guys.
