Been with WWTS for many years now that Bodog might be taking it over i am not sure if they will take actionpoint wagers also known as power plays or lighting. Does anybody know which books take this type of action ? Thanks

WSEX only for NFL. 5dimes and CRIS have discontinued Action Points unless there was something recent that have them allowing it again...Call up and you can place them at the Greek...

Spread betting is the same, but likely those two shops don't accept US customers any more if they ever did. They're both UK FSA regulated, and places I keep decent sums.

I dont think spread betting is the same as action points, in action points your betting on every point under or over the spread.

If not exactly the same then at least pretty much the same? Explanation from Sporting Index:

Supremacy

This is a market predicting a team’s dominance over their opposition. Our experts will attempt to predict how many more points any given team will score against their opponents. You bet high if you think the favourite will win by more than we have predicted or alternatively, bet low if you believe the underdog will win.

Example

When the Baltimore Ravens played the Denver Broncos we saw Baltimore as favourites over Denver by 2 - 4 points. If you fancied the Ravens to beat the Broncos by a margin of more than 4 points you would bet high at 4.

In the end Baltimore won 21-3 which is a margin of 18 points.

Had you gone high on Baltimore at 4 points you would have made 14 times your stake, in this case £5 per point.
(18 – 4) x your stake = 14 x £5 = £70

But if Denver had won by 10 points, the same bet would have lost you 14 times your stake.
(4 – -10) x your stake = 14 x £5 = -£70

Action points, is that equivalent to Spread Betting?

As far as you are concerned, yes.

Its a difference in US versus English terminology. US action points are equivalent to spread betting and US spread betting is equivalent to handicap betting. Hope that clarifies this issue for both sides of the pond.
