Dear Mr.********,

At the moment, Firepay is the only processor who has decided not to accept transactions from US citizens. However, in the wake of Neteller doing the same as Firepay, there are other methods that our customers can use to withdraw their balance.

Yes, western union and cashier's check deposit/withdrawal option is still available. Please be advised that we do not accept personal checks.

BUT...for how long? :icon_conf

Face it, the prohibitive snowball is gathering size and strength.

Until this avalanche of uncertainty passes, wouldn't moving funds to the side-lines be the most prudent move for US gamers?

One would think so.

In the meantime, what is the WTO doing about this "unlawful" restriction of International commerce?

The most prudent move for US players is to get a tax-free bank account in Canada! :)

.....

that is a hell of a good point but say good bye to fast payout and instant deposits, cashiers checks take a while to arrive and clear.

So back to the old days of Fed-exing a check, never thought it was hassle before. Just cannot see how they can stop it.

Save your breath...I'm starting to figure out that the "gloom and doom" crowd is going to panic regardless what sort of logic you present. If they want to believe an absurdity like the US government totally abandoning international trade just to get at us sports gamblers there's not really a way to convince them otherwise.

I don't know about a cashier's check. But I sent an email to a big time book. I won't give the name except to say it was NOT WSEX nor Pinnacle. I asked them if I could fund an account with a personal check which I would Fedex and I would WAIT for it to clear before playing.
The answer I received, was that they do not accept personal checks.

Sounds like to me they don't really need business from the US.

There's any number of businesses that no longer accept personal checks....ever try writing one at the local gas station? I've never tried using a personal check at a book, but I'm not sure that any of them have *ever* accepted them...

whats the big deal about a cashiers check? If you have the funds you use your PERSONAL check to buy your cashiers check at a bank or have it taken from your account..

Exactly, I have given up too. People only care about themselves and there pocket as usual. Both fourms I post in have heard the last from me on the subject. They can cry, run, panic, look over there shoulders or leave for all I care.

Its buisness as usual, buisness is boomimg.

Not even 10 bux for a cashiers check..

and i know Pinnacle for example covers the cost of the overnight fed ex to their offices if the check is worth like 1000 or more. Otherwise i think its 25 bux.
