Shop around, but these are the Olympic lines as of 3PM EST Thursday.

101 Fedor Emelianenko -1000
102 Mark Coleman +700

103 Mauricio Rua -320
104 Kevin Randleman +260

10/21/2006 7:00 PM Dan Henderson vs Vitor Belfort Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas
105 Dan Henderson -205
106 Vitor Belfort +170

10/21/2006 6:30 PM Josh Barnett vs Pawel Nastula Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas
107 Josh Barnett -785
108 Pawel Nastula +575

10/21/2006 6:30 PM Joey Villasenor vs Robbie Lawler Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas
109 Joey Villasenor -135
110 Robbie Lawler +110

10/21/2006 6:30 PM Phil Baroni vs Yosuke Nishijima Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas
111 Phil Baroni -420
112 Yosuke Nishijima +340

10/21/2006 6:00 PM Kazuhiro Nakamura vs Travis Galbraith Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas
113 Kazuhiro Nakamura -900
114 Travis Galbraith +600

Some potential stinkers on this card, but the Belfort-Henderson and Lawler-Villasenor fights could be very good. Plus, this is Fedor's (best MMA fighter pound 4 pound in the world) American debut. Mark Coleman is tough and he has a lot of balls for being the only guy willing to fight Fedor on this card, but he has no shot here. Barnett, CroCop and Nogueira are still somewhat beat up from the Open Weight GP, so they couldn't fight him, so that left Coleman.

I'm on Belfort as well. Both Hendo and Vitor are very unpredictable and both can disappoint with the best of them.

The Lawler fight could go either way. I was tempted to take Randleman, but every time I think he might win, he disappoints me. Tough to go against Shogun.

The Nishi bet may not be bad. Baroni has a big StrikeForce fight in Dec against Frank Shamrock and he may take ths guy lightly.

One other thing, I don't think it affects the fights too much, but this event is in Vegas and sanctioned by the NSAC. This means that PRIDE fights will pretty much be under UFC rules, meaning there is no kneeing or kicking a downed opponent like in Japan. However, elbow strikes, which are banned in PRIDE, are allowed here.

Baroni should take Nishijima easily. Always a puncher's chance, but Nishijima has no ground game (he's a former boxer).

I like Randleman. This is really a sweet card though and most US folks don't know how quality it is. Imagine if the UFC put on a card like this...

It would be most of the champs and big names fighting eachother (minus Nog and Crocop). Great stuff.

honestly,i don`t like randleman...but,considering the injury vs coleman is only around 8 or 9 months old,i understand where you`re coming from......

is there any indication that shogun`s still affected by the broken arm?.....

if not for the injury, and the rule changes(those stomps are horrific),i`d have laid the roughly -300 i saw at pinny...

and i wasn`t crazy about rua`s first fight back vs the skinny puncher diabate.....still,the way he blew through the pride total elim. field was downright amazing.....

if coleman wins...sans another broken arm,it would be the upset of the century,imo.....

i had a little on anderson silva the other night.....but i had no idea that he`d embarrass franklin like that.....

that was about as intense a beatdown in a short time frame as i`ve ever seen......an utter blow-out...and a pretty nice broken schnoz for his trouble....

silva`s gonna be a tough nut to crack.....

I think this is a better card than any of the UFC's of late.

Looking at Lawler. I don't see Fedor losing but it wouldn't surprise to see Coleman make it a tussle for awhile.

This is a good card in the sense that they got big names, and it will provide lots of stunning ko's and subs, but the featured bouts are all mismatches. Henderson/Belfort could go either way, and the Lawler fight too, but the co-main events should be one sided. Those fights seem seems designed by Pride to show the American audience that their fighters (Fedor and Rua) are better than UFC fighters (Randleman and Coleman).

What ever happened to Silva/Lidell?

Liddell and Silva is off, since UFC and Pride our competing for the best show and most $$. UFC has the upperhand and Chuck is hotter than Silva right now so Dana White won't agree to the deal which would benefit Pride more than the UFC. Had Silva won the OWGP, UFC would have agree to the contest.

Tonights picks for me:

Villasenor-Better fighter, more consistent, well-rounded. If Lawler wins it is by KO/TKO.

Rua-Even with the NSAC rules I like Rua here.

Fedor-Coleman won't win this, unless it's by accident or freak injury.

Nishijima- If Baroni tries to stand with him, Nishijima has a shot especially with the odds. WHo knows if Phil will gas, and he has no submission game. Nish is tough as nails. THe odds for this are way out of whack. I expect Phil to win if he fights smart. But the odds say play Nishijima.

Nishijima was an embarrrassment with that effort tonight

Yeah, that was a quick benji! I thought Baroni would do something stupid and stand up and try to trade blows. He's smarter than I thought.

I'm going to watch the late replay so I haven't seen them. I lost a unit on Belfort but won one with Lawler. 22 seconds. Wow! Butterbean knocked out Sean O'Haire (former WCW/WWF wrestler) in 29 seconds. I would have rather seen Butterbean vs. Mark Hunt. That would have been an entertaining fight.

woah, Nastula rocked Barnett with wild punches. Nastula controlling Barnett on top, Barnett reverses and finishes with a toe hold!

Fedor wins by Armbar Submission early in Round 2 just like their fight in 2000. Coleman was going for takedowns the whole time. He finally got it, but Fedor spun around and got the arm and it was all over.
