No outs, two on and the Mets don't bunt???? It should be automatic!!!

You send Floyd to try to win the game when you don't have to and if he grounds out, it's an easy double play. I don't get it.

I know...2nd and 3rd with one out and that rookie pitcher is really feeling the heat...Could have pinch hit Glavine there...

That's a great call. You have him bunt and if you tie the game, he stays in to pitch.

When was the last time Floyd layed down a bunt? What were they going to do, pinch hit for him to bunt? If it was a one run game, of course, but in that situation I'm not so sure a bunt is right, esp with the guy that was due up.

Floyd was the pinch hitter. They didn't have to use him there.

It was text book time to bunt. You're the home team, you have the nine spot bunting, they would have walked Reyes to load the bases and you have La Duca and Beltran to tie the game with a single.

Was thinking Glavine as well...unbelievable...a Rookie vs Veteran manger move...damaged goods Floyd tasked to swing from the heels, a real potential double-play canidate...stupid greed.

Cards deserve it, Suppan was awesome 7 & 2/3's TWO hit ball!

What about the highway robbery of Rolen by Chavez? WOW!

Recall Chavez dropped a much easier "bartman ball" foul just prior to his, I mean, THE CATCH of the 06' playoffs...thought it would have propelled the Mets to the victory.

Leyland and LaRusy...phone buddies...advanced scouting perhaps?

Hoping for a good competitive series between pals.

Because Bobby Mecer failed misreably in the 70's in the same situation. You dont send power guys up to bunt in tight playoff games.

Willie was on that Yankee team when the coach sent Mercer to go do that.

It took years for them to finally stop talking about it.

For the last time!!!! Floyd was sent up as a pinch hitter!!!! Don't send him to the plate. Send a pitcher to bunt. :lolBIG:

ANOTHER thing they did not talk about AT ALL that I saw. It was interesting and should have been discussed for a moment:

When What's his name #1 came up (Mets outfielder) and caught the ball out of the glove of what's his name. That was interesting and I'm sure you all saw the look that what's his name # 2 gave what's his name #1 after the play on the fly ball.

He was shaking his head at his teammate like "don't do that shit..." I'm not even sure who it was, obviously as at that moment I was doing something else and wasn't paying very good attention. I can't name very many of the Met by what they look like, as well.

When the Right fielder Encarnacion came in and grabbed the ball from the second baseman Belliard and afterwards, Belliard looked liked he was telling him off?
I was wondering the same thing. Thought they would bring it up again after commercial.
