Tigers.

They have two solid LH starters. Cardinals biggest problem...hitting LH's.

Showed it again tonight when they made Oliver Perez(on short rest) look like Steve Carlton.

The Tigers should dominate. I don't see the Cards winning a huge upset against a hurting Mets team. I predicted before the series that the Cards were going to win. I thought they would have done it sooner than game 7. The Tigers are just head and shoulders above any NL team. I'll be shocked as hell if this thing goes to a game 6.

This should be a whoopin' put on the Cards by the Tigers.....6 games at most. Take it to the bank.

This may be true if the Tigers weren't supposed to finish at barely .500

Tigers all the way. Everyone talks about how st. louis has heart and what not. This is the same team that less then a month ago almost pulled the biggest choke job in mlb history. thats heart? They barely squeezed by a mets team with scrubs for pitchers. Their number 1 guy has a sore hamstring. did u see that homerun he hit the other night? BARELY cleared the fence, he used to hit monster shots in the playoffs, anyone remember the Lidge homerun. Eckstein is getting injections for his sprained shoulder, Rolen is at odds with his manager, and they are in the world series because a total FLUKE homerun by molina. Dont get me wrong, the cards are my favorite team in baseball, but i have to bet with my brain and not heart. TIGERS

The Tigers will handle this team quite easily. The Cardinals have a lot of heart but this is an average team from a very weak league. These playoffs showed just how bad the National League is. It's a lousy league with a lot of Punch and Judy hitting teams and the Cardinals are one of them. Detroit has a clear edge in every phase of the game.

ANYTHING can an most usually happens in a baseball game, NEVER count out a +200 dog in the World Series.
Long ago the LA Dodgers were a +200 doggie to the mighty American League Oakland A's, and guess what.....Yeppers the Doggie gets the GOLD.

Way to go out on a limb, eat chalk and you never look wrong, if STL wins you can always say DET should've won STL got lucky.

I like the Colts tommorow as 9 pt. favs, put it in the bank, the Colts roll, I guarantee it.

This series will never leave St. Louis, especially if Cards win Game 2 which I think they will. Cards win in 5 and may sweep. Mark it down!

Wow, Detroit fans starting to sound like Yankee fans. McClain and Lolich are retired. Willie, Norm, Al, Mickey and Gates (and Ike) are all watching, not playing.

Cardinals have the bats, and now rested pitching. This one can go 7 easy.

Exactly!
The thing about the world series, or any other short postseason series, is if you get invited to the dance anything can happen. The Cardinals may not be the best team in this series on paper, but that shit doesnt matter. Who would have thought either of these teams would be in the world series?!

The Tigers shit down their leg the last month of the season, and everybody said, "No way they beat the Yankees!" But they win seven in a row and here they are.

Same thing with the Cardinals. They're banged up and this and that but they're here, they've been getting gutty pitching in the postseason (Weaver, Suppan, Reyes), and I'll still take a hobbled Pujols over just about anybody healthy.

...... Having said all that, Tigers series price is now even money at pinnacle, and I'm gonna jump on it.
