Do Not Buy Tickets Outside Ball Park Of Comerica..........there Will Be Lots Available The Only Problem Is That The Tickets Are No Good................. What Happens Is That Someone Goes Inside The Stadium And Then Passes That "used" Ticket Through The Gates And Sells It On The Streets Then The Next Person Who Buys It Gets The "stop" Sign And Cant Go In..................they No Longer Rip The Ticket In Half.............

Thanks for the heads up. Although I imagine only a small % of the tickets being sold on the streets would be no good as it probably isnt the easiest to pass it back through the gate. What else would u suggest in order to get tickets?

if you ever been in tiger stadium it is very easy to pass your ticket through the gates outfield section you can stand outside and pass them easily

Trust Me Real Easy To Pass Through The Gates And There Is An Opening All Around The Stadium................i Could Have Had Two Today For 250$ But Turned Them Down...................... Deposit 2million Dollars At Comerica Bank And Talk To The President He Will Give U Two Tickets.............then Withdraw The Money 30 Days.................. A Great Bonus With No Rollover...............lol

There isn't much of a choice, but I would guess scalper fraud is fairly minimal. I have been at other parks where something similar could have happened and never been stuck with a bad ticket. Then again the WS is another story. If you have to play it safe probably best to buy them online beforehand.

I have to say the prices are pretty amazing. On Stubhub standing room only going for $500. Then again for a true fan paying $500 to see a WS game isn't that outrageous.

The tickets are "SCANNED" upon entry. once scanned into the system they cannot be re-scanned to allow entry.

Last year numerous fans were victimized in Chicago by purchasing tickets outside the ballpark which were already scanned and passed back out...once those scammed by the scan realized they were out normally several hundreds of dollars they would re-sell the unusable (scanned) tickets to others, which was repeated and repeated and repeated....

same chance getting scammed online, if not more. good chance you will get scammed by a ticket broker. Ask Wisconson fans about the 1994 Rosebowl and how Barrys tickets stiffed them.

Just as many cons on ebay as on the street.

This thread definately has me nervous. That sucks that they dont do anything to indicate the ticket has been used. Gonna have a lot of pissed of fans if this happens.

I thought of this although I'm sure he wouldnt want to walk in with me with all the police around. Also though I could have my buddy stay with him while I go and use my ticket to get in. Then call my buddys cell if it works

If you're considering purchasing tickets at the ballpark condition the sale of the tickets upon your CLEARED admission into the ballpark...those selling legit tickets will accommodate your request and see that your entry into the park is unimpaired, those scamming won't accommodate your entry condition of purchase.

I once bought an Eagles playoff ticket on Ebay. Went to the stadium and got the red light on the scanner. Went to the ticket office and they showed me a letter from the original ticket holder saying he never received his ticket in the mail. So they canceled that ticket and sent him another one. I'm sure he gave the original ticket to a buddy to sell and they split the profit.

Then I bought a ticket from a scalper outside and that ticket wouldn't get me in either.

That was one of the worst days of my life. Luckily the Eagles won.

I would just ask around. Go to Greektown Casino also. Look at Craigslist also, had great luck in the past looking for last-minute tickets - http://detroit.craigslist.org/tix/. A friend of mine sold 2 for Game 1 in the 200 level for $1000 each on Stubhub.

Found sec 117 Row 6 for $700 a piece. Made the guy walk with us to the gate. Was a pain finding lower level seats as not many people were selling.
