We scored MORE runs in the FIRST inning of the FIRST World Series game then our opponent scored the ENTIRE World Series.

Think about that feat for a second, that is not a misprint.

66 Orioles, yes. ...Can you imagine this...You go into the field in inning one of the WORLD SERIES, of the first four batters 3 of them score and outscore your team for the entire World Series, that is what happened !!!

Dodgers were favored , it must have been a real snoozer for Dodgers fans, they did not score after inning 3 of game 1...2 total runs.

The only other noteworthy things that happened, in game 2 Willie Davis committed 3 errors in one inning and the team committed 6 errors on that day.

Frank Robinson homered in game 1 and game 4.

Not a fair question. For most of us this was way before our time. Journeyman was 78 in February and lived most of this. Big difference.

in 67 Yaz led the league in hitting with a .301 BA. THey did not hit as much back then because the mounds were higher etc. .301 to win the BA was sick. I think that was the year but may be off by a few.

Frank Robinson was one of the only guys to win the MVP in both leagues. Pretty great stat.
