Has anyone ever tried these 20 point teasers at 5 dimes?

How sucker of a play is this?

I think if you use one of these things spread out over a SAT and SUNDAY, you may find some value.10 to 16 teams depending on juice, 20 points.

What if you took the over on all games with a total of 33 or less? That would be over 13. How many games dont go over 13?

Or you can take a team at +11.5 in a game where the total is 35 or less and make them +31.5.

Little things like that. I think there is only room for 1 of these plays per week spread out over 2 or 3 days of cards.

There are all kinds of ways to find spots for a 20 point tease. I think most weeks you may be able to find 10 games where you can make it a good play.

I have never done this before. May try it today. Just wondering if anyone has tried them.

In the NFL this past week, every side would have covered the 20 point teaser except for KC against Pittsburgh.

Even the Houston Texans getting blown away by DALLAS covered, I think.

I've done them lots, and overall it's been good to me...just be careful, one tie loses the whole teaser...focus on games with 1/2 point hook, that way it eases the pain.

I like the way you think Chopper. The problem with these teasers is finding 10 teams that fit a certain scenario. For example, there is only one NFL game that has a total of less than 33 and none of the college games fit that scenario.

I tried it last week for the first time and won. My final game was chicago +8 and had to sweat that out. I waited until sunday to do that teaser so i lost out on some of the better college lines.

I like to take NFL games more than college games because i think the lines in the pros are set alot tighter and tend to be more accurate so there is less of a chance of these lines being 20 points off at the end of the day.

some lines i liked this week are the pats +14.5, atlanta +22 and eagles +14.5, colts +10 and bengals +15. Obviously when you are adding 20 points to a line they will all look good so i guess its a matter of preference.

I also took denver/cleveland over 12 since it was the lowest line around and thought that was a little too good to pass up.

I will be doing 1 a week for the next few weeks to see how i do.

Remember its 250 to win 100 on these.

Yes, thats the problem. Dont think you could do one every week. Just something to keep an Eye on.

Tommorow, I am going to back check every single game in the NFL this season vs a 20 point line side and total, and see what I come up with. I will post the results when I get done.

250 for 10 teams, 160 for 16 teams.

Losing that DENVER/CLEVELAND OVER WOULD BE HARD TO DO. 10 to 3 is over:lolBIG: .

Again, be careful of the tie...I'm telling you once bitten twice shy...I've been there. Denver 9 Cleveland 3, although unlikely, is far from impossible.

I think this ought to be fun! Although I'm more tempted to bet $25 to win $10.

:lolBIG:

I'll post in this thread. I like the Denver game too.

Another angle I've been thinking about is betting on the 10 teams in college football that have the best ATS records.

More later...

I played it once and went 9 out 10. Lost on a total. It was a few years ago. At -250 it is too much juice for me.

In my opinion, teasers like this with 10+ games just up the probability that one will blow up in your face. 250 to win 100 just makes it even more unattractive.

I certainly would not consider these great bets, but they are fun. I am already sweating the penn st game

I played them at youwager. The only difference was it was ten teams 21 points and was something like 170/100. But, you were not allowed to play totals.

I just took a look at the fivedimes teaser. Do they allow you to tease totals with the 20 points (most shops with this super-teaser don't). I did like the +16 in basketball. But, as someone else mentioned with 10 games on the card, these really are just for fun

Incredible results for the early games with the exception of Buffalo. I covered the spread by 30 points which means I would have covered the normal spread by 10 points.

Incredible results for the early games with the exception of Buffalo. I covered the spread by 30 points which means I would have covered the normal spread by 10 points.

Here are the results so far. Rice and Wyoming are looking like they will cover by 30 as well. IF this were to continue the Okies will win by 22 and MTS/ULM will have a total of 34. Go Okies and stay under MTS/ULM!

Thanks CHOP. The line on the Denver game went down to 31.5 before I posted so all I need is over 11.5.

This just illustrates how dangerous these are. I came within 8 points of losing one and 3.5 points of losing another.

Here are the results after today:
