Why even bother going there? Your better off staying somewhere 50 miles away. Last time I was in Detroit I swear I saw downtown office buildings borded up. Maybee its different now, but why would you want to go to a classless city with classless fans. I had nothing against their fans until game 4 of the ALCS when bradley came up gimpy at 3rd base getting injured, and all you can hear was a loud cheer. Thank you STL for game 1. 3 more to go!:pope:

city on the rebound

stay close to downtown, should be real easy to find tics, watch out for cops and pick pockets, Our Sheriff likes to confiscate tickets, ask are you a police officer, They like to lock up people who are not violent, excuse to stay out of the hood where they are needed desperatley.
Downtown is new and relativley safe, sports bars within walking distance of the park, greatest fans in America, you will have a ball.
Bring plenty of cash and warm waterproof clothes.

You cant get arrested for buying tix, only for selling them more than face value. I didnt hear about tickets getting confiscated but it's always a possibility. I could see them doing that downtown close to the stadium. As far as bars, you could go to Hockeytown Cafe or Cheli's Chili bar which are both right by the stadium. Hockeytown is a good bar to watch a game with all of the flastscreens they have, but it will be packed tomorrow so get there early.
