I have ordered wagerstation and used its arb program but never its record keeping program (pay $20 a month for it).

Somehow I find myself around $400 short for the month (overall a decent month) but this pisses me off. No more, it is time to move to the 21st century. Tomorrow I will try to learn how to use this thing.

The days of calculator, pen and notebook are GONE!!!!

I'm not sure why a person would use anything other than Excel...or some similar spreadsheet. Excel is what I use and I can do anything I need to with it.

Ice ... is use the accounting side of things in wagerstation and the arb module and I cant see how you do it without it! The accounting module is almost jsut as important to me as the arbs ...

and yes Excel is fine for some users .... but its like comparing tracking your finances through excel or through Quicken ... there is no comparison. In a few clicks of the mouse I can track a wager in wagerstation ... it will deduct my sportsbook balance ... track and score the game and then credit or debit my book (if it won, lost or pushed). and the screen shot it takes at confirmation was quite handy with a little problem I had with bowmans a while back where they had no record of my wager but i had the screen shot and just emailed it to them :)

Anyway ... I suggest you get into that wstation accounting cuz its gonna help ya in the end!

keep my own reccords on paper. keep my reccords online at forums and then also with a couple other handicappers in a google spreadsheet. There is alot you can do with excell and it does not take much to learn. If nothing else you become more accountable to your bets....

Orbit,
Does WS have a beginners booklet or somethingof the sort to teach how to use it? I haven't really investigated but was wondering if you have any pointers?

I have used the 'Help' pull down built into wagerstation and seemed to get the gist of it ... although it is a little lacking it gives you the general idea as to the function so the accounting.

One of the easier things I have been using is the right hand score board ... if you have placed a waager on a game just right click on the game and choos the "bet on the game" option. Then simple put in your wager amount and book and your done ... doesnt work for scalps but is a simple way to input a wager nice and fast.

Also I find the 'in action' tracking a nice tool ... gives me an exact picture of what action i have out in total and then per book ...

it does take alittle getting used to but once you got it good tool to have.

O.
