I played there this week for the first time in awhile. I was able to get Rutgers at +7 -110 on the Thursday free half-point day. All wagers were graded within about 1 minute it seemed. I beat them for a small chunk, and they paid by Neteller within 5 minutes. Very happy, and I will definitely go back. I think they are a good book with some nice advantages, provided you don't take a bonus. I think if you take a bonus, you'll have a hard time meeting rollover, because nothing counts towards it. But I have been very critical of Sportbet before, and I wanted to give them props.

life is always easier when you play without a bonus. You will lose money, but you will get better service.

What does that mean? that if you take bonuses you have a higher chance to win money? Your winning/loosing strike does not have to do anything with bonuses IMO.

what he was saying is playing without a bonus means you can play on your own terms. I'm not a huge fan of bonuses either because they come with strings attached. You have to meet a minimal rollover requirement which is usually 5x of the initial depot, and any winnings on any Bonus Plays has to be rolled over as well, thus causing a lot of potential headache.

If you deposit 1k, you've got to wager at least 5k before you can cash out and receive the bonuses. If you're a buck player and deposit 1k, you can reach this limit in a relatively short period of time if you are at least around 50-50. If you have a small losing streak though your money will be bye bye and won't be receiving that bonus anyway.

Most places give the bonus up front, so you do receive it.

What I was saying in a nutshell is this. Play with bonuses and expect to get hassles, but you can come out ahead if you know what you are doing. Play without bonuses and you will get treated better, but you will lose longterm no matter how good you think you are.

Doug,

I know you get the bonus upfront. What I was saying is you can't cash it out until you do a 5x rollover. That's why bonuses aren't always that appealing. If you get $500 in bonuses but win 2k over the weekend and want to cash out, you can't unless you forfeit your bonuses or have met or exceeded the 5x rollover. All the stipulations and strings makes a good arguement for just not receiving any bonuses to begin with and if you have a nice or even great week, you can cash out as much as you want whenver you want with no requirements whatsoever.

True for many but certainly not all.

It's a personal choice, sometimes I don't take the bonus, but I usually do. I'm more likely to decline it at places that have a 30 day hold, the rollover comes easy enough. It's pretty easy to push rollover with baseball dime lines.

The bonuses are getting harder to get, I've used most of the new account bonuses already so all that's left are re-ups, and many of those are dead ( for me) at places like Pinny,Sky,5D,Man,MB,SIA etc.

It's pretty hard for me to qualify for a bonus, about anywhere unless it is some some place so obscure that I haven't been there yet, and those aren't good places to be playing at now.
