I have a co-worker buddy (upper 30's) who uses it as a glorified dating service and is actually hookng up with girls left and right but bottom line when I ask people I know about this site they say the same thing "bunch of lonely people looking to hook up".
I can't tell you how many people I have talked to about this in the past few weeks and almost EVERYONE agrees with me. EVERY guy and girl I know laughs out loud about how pathetic the people are on this site. People start chuckling behind this poor guys back about how pathetic it is to be upper 30's and be on myspace.
Lots of lonely people out there. If you are under 30 I will say it is okay in my eyes because it is your generation but word of advice to over 30's don't admit to others you have a myspace account because we are all laughing behind your backs.
I have no hidden agenda with this site but I am willing to bet that in a few years this fad will be one of those "don't admit you actually did this" things. Guys, spare yourself the embarassment down the road. Don't do it!!!!!

My space is a really cool and easy way to meet chicks from your area and catch up with people you lost touch with. Just search their name and shoot them a message.
I am with you ice. If you are old enough to go to bars then you should not need myspace. If you are older than 30 and use myspace then you need to learn how to pick up girls without having to fill out silly questionaires and spending countless hours chatting up a romance.

My 13 year old niece is in love with this site. When my 13 year old niece and a 37 year old male have MAJOR interest in the same site than soemone has MAJOR issues and I will bet on the 37 year old being the one.
You should read the lies he puts on there. Just bunch of phonys on there.
Just take a poll with people (professional, over 30) and ask around and I guarantee you 90% will roll there eyes if you ask them if they have a my space account. Compeltly gay!!!

On a side note, this guy has voluntarily went on the road for a few weeks the past 6 months and "scouts" the area a few weeks in advance and lines up a few chicks by telling them he is wondering about hotspots in their town. It's a ongoing joke at work when we need a guy to go out of town for a few weeks that we have him to log on to my space and within a few hours he has e-mails POURING in. He just went out with a different (3rd at least) girl in our town just by starting chit chatting with her and feeding her a bunch of lies. This is 20X eaiser than any bar is what he says.
