I am taking my wife there for her birthday in a couple weeks. We will be attending a Black Crowes concert at "University of Buffalo Center for the Arts".

Also, while there I want to catch the Bills game vs Green Bay that week.

Anyone know how far the Bills stadium is from the Arts center? Also, are there any nice hotels around either? If the Arts center and the stadium are on the other side of the city, Id prefer a hotel closer to the stadium.

How's the night life and the area surrounding the stadium?

Thanks,

BB

I'm at work so I don't have the time to fill you in now but I will get back to you tonight. I live five minutes from the stadium stop over for a beer if you want.

Harrington, may just do that. Hey, what is a good bar to watch the games around there?

We are not going to be able to get out of Cincy till Sunday morning. So, probably wont have time to make it for the game. But would like to watch the Bengals game if there is a decent bar around.

Also, I booked a room at the Hampton Inn & Suites Buffalo Downtown, on Delaware Street.

From the pics on the net it looks pretty nice, plus wanted to use some of my points for Hilton.

Look forward to hearing from you later tonight.

Thanks,

BB

There is no night life surrounding the stadium because the city is too damn stupid to put the stadium in the city. If you're looking for good nightlife downtown you have the younger crowd (20's) on Chippewwa, nice shops and Martini bars on Elmwood, the "artsy" area on Allen, otherwise you'd need to get to the casinos in Niagara Falls (CA side).

Lander nailed it with that statement!!

Lander, is the Hotel I listed above near the areas you listed above?

Can you recommend a decent bar with NFL ticket downtown near the Hampton on Delaware?

Thanks,

A 30 minute drive from Ralph Wilson Stadium from UB Center of the Arts.....There are hotels right across the street from where you will be watching the concert, on Maple Road.......pretty descent........downtown, the Hilton is probably your best choice.......have not lived in that area for a while, so not certain about where to watch games, but anywhere on Chippewa you should find a descent Sports Bar.

Thanks Billsfan.

Hey, are there sportsbars/nightlife on Maple street? If you had to choose between Maple street(near the concert) or downtown on Delaware, where would you stay?

Thanks again,

BB

I have stayed at that Hampton numerous times. They have some pretty cool Jacuzzi suites. You are right there by Chippewa (You will hear the crowds leave the bars though....I think closing time used to be 4am)

I did hit BJ. Is there anyway for me to check it out online?

Anchor Bar is originator of wings.

From what I remember, I had to drive a little ways to find a decent sports bar. I will call some of my friends.

Have you thought about driving to Niagara from Buffalo?

Been to Niagra before, nice over there. Going to stay in buffalo though, closer to the concert. I will hit Chippewwa street and see what I find.

Not sure, dont think you can look online. It says James, I guess that is your first name. I won't post the last name, but it has you jumping off your chair! It is on page 156 if you get a copy.

I'd scan it and post it, but my scanner is down.

THanks,

BB
