At the start of this series I did not see the Cards winning more than one game, they have their one game now. I love getting a superior Tigers team at this price, can't go wrong in my book. :103631605

what happened to the live bats of detroit???? their pitching doesn't seem to be as dominant when they're not throwing tar balls.

You could probably find an assload of pitchers that use a foriegn substance. He still threw 7 runless innings. I hate to break it to you but the Cards are not going to win the world series.

exactly, even if he did have the tar the first inning, what about the other innings? detroit better step their bats up though.

I'll give you that. Carp was good last night. Impressed the hell out of me.

HOWEVER

Robertson was around the plate ALL NIGHT. It's not his fault Wally Bell doesn't know what a strike looks like. You could see it. He was dejected that he couldn't get the close pitch called a strike. He had to throw cupcakes since painting the black wasn't working. It was horrible. I would have gotten tossed arguing balls and strikes. If you don't get the close call, you're going to find more of the plate and you're going to get hammered.

And Zumaya couldn't throw a strike to 3rd base to start a double play. 2 runs down is more manageable than 4. When it gets to 4, you lose all hope. And it showed. Cards win the next 2 to take the series 4-1.
