Big convention coming up and I have some clients I need to wine and dine, Vegas Newbie(been there once) and was needing some advice on some mid range places to take clients,(preferably in and around the strip)

Nothing super high end but looking for that hidden gem.

Thanks!

Take them to MICHEALS at the BARBARY COAST and thank me later........although it will be slightly higher than your mid range prices your looking for, it will be money well spent.

Enjoy

If only the Ho was still open. Nothing says "Do business with me" like a Ho Dog and a cheap draft beer.

Fish,
Harrah's acquired the BC in a land swap deal with Boyd...Michael's is moving to the South Coast, which will officially change names to the South Point tomorrow. So Michael's will be reunited with its namesake, Michael Gaughan

Highly recommend Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Runs around $20-$30 an entree.

Where is the best surf and turf?
My buddies want to go do this at Binions.

Anywhere else?

Please do not go to Battista's. For some reason that place gets a lot of ink for being a great Italian restaurant. Maybe some get caught up in the atmosphere, but the food is comparable to an Olive Garden. Free wine should tip you off.

If you're looking for a mid-range place on the strip that isn't bad and a relatively safe menu, I'd recommend The Range at Harrah's. Decent steak. Not as good as the tops, but certainly not as bad at the old steak specials.

I'm sure you will get plenty of responses to this thread that should fit your budget.

Labeeb, I never said Battista's was great. I agree with your comment on the food, but it is a fun place to go with a group. Especially like the chicks slamming that free table wine.

For wining and dining on the strip in a an excellent service you must simply go to the BALI HAI golf course and eat there. Outstanding views, along with excellent service. You could just about have the place to yourself at night as its not as busy there as there lunch is.

A very well kept secret and most dont know the golf course is even there. Not to far down from Mandaly Bay. You will look like you were in the know.
Amazing more people dont go for dinner.

Palms is only good for lunch if you stay to the 18 dollar specials, otherwise its full menu prices.

If you go the steakhouse route, go to the Capital Grille in the fashion show mall. Great food, service, and another place with unreal views of the strip.

The resturant is set up for buisness men too. You can do presentations and all kinds of buisness related stuff. They have two rooms dedicated to it.

The main floor goes both ways.

Lotus of Siam for really great Thai food.

But it looks like what it is: a family restaurant in a strip mall off the wrong end of the Strip.

For something a little different and midrange, also consider Samba at Mirage. Brazilian churrascaria (sp?)

If you go the Brazillizn steak house go to Yollies instead. You get raped by a x2 factor with the strip joints. Its in resturant row on the strip. Its the original and they have a nifty little dining rooom.

Agree with Sugarbear, Yolie's Brazilian Steakhouse on Paradise just south of Twain, north of Flamingo, is an excellent value...unlimited portions of 7 different meats.

Disagree with Labeeb, Battista's, in that same general area on Flamingo, is another excellent value in both food and atmosphere.

Near Yolie's is Firefly, a Spanish tapas restaurant. Excellent recommendation there, top notch.
