could someone rank which is easiest to move a numebr to hardest in these bets. My guess is next to it

NFL side:(8 hardest, most money needed bet to move)

NFL total:(6)

CFB side:(7)

CFB total:(5)

NBA side:(4)

NBA total:(3)

CBB side: (2)

CBB total: (1 easiest, least money needed bet to move number)

I think most people would agree with those rankings.

And you left out the WNBA which goes below all of those!

Without a doubt the most moveable, then CBB totals.

Overnight numbers at Any shop, with decent limits are easy to move.

Pretty easy to answer....the ease of line movement is greater in the sports where the size of the "marketplace" is smaller. So rank the sports inversely in terms of "handle" and you've got your answer.

I bet a lot of the 1AA football plays at 5Dimes, The Greek and Pinny. I've done pretty well with these over the years and now they'll move the line if I even look at these games funny...

Depending on the book. You can bet 10 dimes at Cascade, and they rarely move. Bet 5K at CRIS/DSI they move. Speaking of MLB only.

WNBA Totals...I guess Pinny would call me a $20.00 sharp...I am still in college, so my bets hardly make a dent (money-wise), but they would move the lines in the WNBA nearly 5 minutes after I would lay down a little money on a total. In the NBA I hardly make any line moves because of the volume, but have been making steady profit off of those totals as well.

Please, a little less delusion might not go astray. A WNBA total moving within 5 minutes or 5 hours of your $20 play is nothing more than a coincidence, and has absolutely nothing to do with you. Depending on the time of day it will take most books a minimum of a nickel to a dime to move a WNBA total, and more for an NBA total.

I would lay between 20-50 dollars (max of 100) on WNBA because it's the freaking WNBA!!! I never watched any games, I only used my equation and was getting over 60% winners.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence...but I really don't care if it is or isn't because the truth is: I don't come on here to pretend like I'm a high roller. I know how the books derive their basketball totals, so I can then see which lines are off and bet the other way. It's that simple (not the equation/process...my approach)

Before this turns into a macho-fest...I'm not as interested as you guys as "making money" off of sports betting...sure it's nice, but I do it for the love of sports and mathematics. I actually hope to me an oddsmaker someday...just know that my intentions with this is different then most.

This past year I decided to share my plays on this site and went:

45-22 (67.2%) in the NBA
25-14 (64.1%) in the WNBA

I'm sure others made a TON more money off of my plays then I did...but I really don't care and am happy for them....

Cant complain about 65% profit in any form of investing. Sure beats what the banks are paying. Nice work.

That is the answer for obivious reasons. The # you are betting into will also have an effect, 3 in football is going to have a much high threshold to hit before it will get moved.

Not everything gets moved off of volume. There are some players especially in the minor sports which can move a # with very little $$(arena foots), because they have been flagged by the book.
