Said I wasn't going to bet but feel this one is too good to pass up. Cards lost both games at home during 04 WS. Carpenter has been money at home all year. STL will provide huge homefield tonight especially after controversy. Look for Cards to put the pedal to the medal in this game and knock around a lh pitcher.

5*
Cardinals -1.5 +150

Cards win this game 7-2!

Kojak,

Does it concern you at all that the Tigers who have faced Carpenter have hit him fairly well? Also, in his lone start against the Tigers this season, Carp got knocked around. Gave up 7 ER. Does this scare you at all?

No! Carp is different pitcher at home than on road. Cardinals were down when they played Tigers earlier in the season coming out of CWS. Tigers were also on high going into that series. Carp is money on extra days rest and he will be going tonight on 6 days rest similar to situation vs Padres in Game 1. Look for Carp numbers to be about 7 ip, 2er, 7 hits, 6k, 2bb

huge cardinals fan and on the tigers and over tonight, hoping that i am wrong and lose some money :103631605 carp has really battled through the entire postseason, and this detroit lineup is very very deep so gonna be alot tougher than previous series, soup and weaver throwin much better these days imo still think we take 2 of 3 at home but have my concerns about tonight. seems like -125 or so on cards the right line IMO with a total of 8.25 or so. Runline seems pretty scary considering the Cards only hit .220 against LHP. I do like the Cardinals tonight tho, BOL.

How is the over being discussed with the Cards struggling against LHP and Carpenter having one of the best ERAs at home?

Geauxhome,
I think the Cards strike early and often tonight. Also, with Carp's first inning troubles, over 4 looks solid.

Also, regarding run line, no Cards game in post season has been decided by 1 run. All 4 in Padres series, all 7 in Mets series, and first 2 in Tigers series. Whoever has won has won by more than 2 runs! I believe same stands for all of Tigers games as well.

LHP on longest rest since he had following the all star game of which he was rocked...hard throwing + rust = walks = scoring oppurtunities...imo
