Just saw the pregame interview with him and Mcgrady...man his english has gotten a lot better. It was just 2 years ago when he can barely speak a lick of english and now he speaks it a lot better than some people that have been in the US for over 20 years.

That's good...there may be hope for even you then. "has gotten a lot better"...may I suggest "has improved"? "It was just 2 years ago when he can barely speak"...2 years ago was in the past, whereas "can" is in the present, may I suggest "could"? "some people that"...that is an impersonal pronoun, people are the ultimate persons and "who" should replace "that".

So I take it Yao would destroy Ace-Ace on the verbal section of the SAT.

I know Vlad Guerrero still cant even formulate a phrase to repeat in any situation like Sammy Sosa did with: "Beisbol has been berry, berry good to me..."

:lolBIG: , I don't get that. Sometimes he speaks normal english like on his tout site, and sometimes it's like a caveman.

Yao has actually been able to speak pretty decent English since he entered the NBA...he just relied on an interpreter because he's a perfectionist and didn't want to potentially embarass himself at all in interviews until he felt 100% comfortable speaking the language.

I'm not surprised at all that he sounds good...all international players should strive to perfect the language. It increases their endorsement opportunities a ton.

ACE is probably one of those guys with what appears to be an average SAT score at first until you break it down.

Math - 800
Verbal - 350
