What's the historical precedent for this ? I'd think if I held tickets for the 4th game of the WS, then the tix are good whenever they get game #4 in, supposed to be Wednesday, but Weds, and Thurs, get rained out, played Fri... then game #4 from Weds is still game #4 even if played Sunday, is what I'd think is correct. I'd accept whatever the past precedent from the last 100+ years or so has been, as long as it is consistent.
I'd never buy the tickets in the first place.
I look at like this. Say Joe Average makes $50,000 a year, that's not really Joe Average, that's a $25/ hr job, to make that... well maybe average, but above median or whatever...
You make 50k... how do you justify spending $2500 ( 5% of that) on a 3-hour baseball game ?
I'd say you don't do that unless you make closer to 250k, it's irresponsible for Joe 50k to blow 5% on his annual income on just attending a game... it could be used more responsibly later !
Those with parents or grandparents alive during the Great Depression wouldn't find their ancestors wasting money like that !
If you're an "average ordinary Joe", the type that drives a Dodge, picks up the dog's crap, hopes it is hard" !.... maybe spend that $2500 on a splurge vacation for a week to some island, what will your wife remember more 20 years later ?
It's different if you bet the money on the game !
