If I submit my credit card at a merchant site on a page that is not secure (that has a yellow padlock at the bottom of the browser), am I really risking someone stealing my credit card information?

I want to make a purchase at a site that does not have a secure connection. There is no other way to order.

some are paranoid about this.... Im not...

i watch my card charges closely and if something is on there I didnt charge I report it immediatly....

furthermore, for safety, you can call them in a month or so, say you lost your card, and they will issue you a new one that nobody has

The chance of a 3rd party stealing your credit card number during the course of the transaction is remote. If a fraud is to occur its going to be done thru the merchant you are dealing with. So if you trust the site you should be fine.
