I think it is, and should be accepted.

Honda CR-V 2007, EX-L, everything but the nav-system, stickers at $26,595, I want it at a flat $26k, I think that's fair. No trade-in.

Fair deal to me at that price ?

It's a re-disgned model with changes, 25 flat won't work, dealers can sell these.

Cars can sell over sticker when new, like PT Cruiser, VW Beetle, etc.

2007 CR-V , EX-L at 26 k flat kinda works for me ! Fair price, and I don't have to spend 20 hours a week Fucking with car dealers for months, damn wife with kill me with this, gotta put an end to it, I've driven the Nissan's, Toyotas, Saabs, Hondas, etal.

Even a dime off don't matter , but I don't think you get an 07 EX-L for 25k, torturing me to get it don't work, either

I don't want to start looking at Mazda's, I'm like 07 CRV-EXL, tea green, no trade... 26k.... deal or not ? I'll buy it from negro salesman ( kind of a bullshiter sort). I'm not prejudiced at all, I like Brothers, they jive, but they deal !

I kinda got a phone price of 26k from a dealer 40 miles away, after haggling on the phone.

I think 26 k, my color, and be done is a deal I'd make !

Hey I"m buying my wife one as well. Have fun trying to deal on this vehicle. Buy it online. I saved a ton on my last vehicle and they brought it right to my house.

Ask to see the invoice, and offer $1000 to $2000 over invoice. And don't let them bullshit you on not seeing the invoice. They entitled to show you the dealer invoice upon your request. Especially if this a larger dealership, it doesn't take much over invoice for a dealer to unload a car. Remember, unsold inventory on their lot is costing them money.

I sold cars for about 3 years part time. You should be able to get this car for $25,000 plus destination. I'm telling you buy it online.

go to edmunds dot com or kbb dot com and there you can look up dealer invoice, what other people are paying, etc. You might also want to google for a forum just for your vehicle as people will often post what they are paying so you can see if you are getting a good deal or not. GL.

$26595, rest is probably destination charge, so if I'm within $400 of that, I should be OK.

Unless you are buying a very hard to get car (Back ordered sports car) you should be much closer to invoice than asking price... $300-400 profit is better than no profit, and the more cars a dealership moves early in the year, the more they get going forward.

At the end of the year, they have to move old models.

To get a good idea of what you should pay, go to carsdirect.com and see what their price is. I'd say dealerships beat their price less than 5% of the time - usually when they are running some ridiculous special or are short cash and selling at a loss or whatever.

Usually if you take the carsdirect print out with you to the dealership, they'll match. Some will tell you to get lost, but then just order it online...

Here in Ottawa it isnt irrelevent coz, if you buy a car NEW it is 14% but if you buy it USED it is only 7%.....

ALSO....

Here in Ottawa you can pay 250$ to a professional car buyer, and he guarantees you the best prcie on whatever car you buy.

It's not a vette, but it is re-designed and better than the 2006 model, dealer can stick close to sticker.

PT Cruisers sold for thousands over sticker, when a novelty.

I'm stuck a bit here. Wife will have me shopping for cars forever, I've driven a couple dozen cars already, takes her up to 5 hours to decide where to eat dinner.

If I bought a Tribeca and there were any problems, it's my fault, she loves her Honda now, so it's safe, car delivered 250k+ miles, still going !

If I went used with Carmax, any problem... I'm toast !

I don't want to start test-driving Kia's, Hyundai's, Suzuki's, Mazda's, etc.

I have to decide since she is incapable of deciding something as small as where to eat, even though she is the primary driver, I don't drive for the hell of it, I need a destination in order to drive somewhere. She drives about aimlessly, much as some surf the internet aimlessly.

CR-V has a 4-banger that gets good mileage, proven reliability, it fits !

I actually very much liked the Element ( I call it the Uglyment), but a short ( about 5 foot) person has vision problems in it, with it's design, she be short, so no go. I understand that.

Time to get it over with, otherwise it will inhibit my gambling, the CR-V ( 2007) just doesn't go much under sticker, I can get an 2006 for 2k+ under, but it's a way different design, and most dealers have moved them already.

26k or 25.5 k isn't that critical, I'd like to beat the 26.6 k sticker, and be done.
