Just saw a report on NBC, that St. Louis and Detroit are the two most dangerous cities to live in. I wonder if Detroit would have won the World Series, if Detroit would have been the most danagerous?

Do not visit the ARCH in St. Louis after dusk.

Just a friendly heads-up.

St.Louis is a pit...........and the true irony is K.C. is just the opposite.

Drive around Detroit a while (walking not recommended), and you will wonder why the USA is still called a superpower.

I've stummbled passed the ARCH a few times and didn't feel at all unsafe. It's the other side of the river one has to worry about. Makes St. Louis look like Pleasantville.

Remember strolling along the waterfront, early 70's during the summer well after dark and listening to all the sirens but feeling quite safe and secure.

But then I was on the Canadian side in Windsor. Guess it hasn't changed much.

15 years ago, during my military days, regularly walked with my girlfriend numerous residential and commercial streets of Ottawa & Kingston, Ontario at 1,2,3am and never once had a problem.

I wouldnt dare do that in any major American city.

You could do it downtown Des Moines, Iowa, not that it's a large city. But I've been there in the wee hours of the morning and you don't even see a police car, more or less, people.

RICHMOND VA REPRESENT

Oh, and I thought it was common knowledge that Camden, NJ was the most dangerous?

For only being a 300k person city, quite a few murders lately here in Toledo, Ohio.

Since Ohio passed the carry conceal last year, I sometimes pack a piece when out at night.
